Chapter 10
Andrew dialed Katherine’s number again and found that her number was out of service.
Was Katherine so angry this time that she put him on the blacklist?
In an instant, the panicked crying of a woman rang in his ears, “Andrew, come to the hospital quickly,
someone…”
Andrew noticed something was wrong and hurriedly rushed to the hospital.
I learned that Katherine had completed the discharge procedures and had already left.
Andrew’s heart sank, and he quickly walked into
ne security room. “Someone, immediately retrieve all the
hospital’s surveillance footage and find out where Katherine went!”
The assistants searched for four hours, but gained nothing.
Andrew smoked one cigarette after another, scolding, “How could a patient possibly disappear from the
hospital without a trace? Keep investigating for me!”
His friends rushed over when they heard the news, discussing it fervently.
“Andrew, I felt that Katherine called you for help, most likely she was just acting. She just wanted to make you
worry about her, but if you ignore her, she will come out on her own!”
“Katherine was a boxing expert, which kidnapper could possibly capture her? You are really worrying too
much.”
“Andrew, Katherine loves you so much that she can’t stay angry with you for long. I bet she will come to bring
you breakfast in no more than half an hour.”
Andrew looked towards the door of the ward, his expression filled with anticipation. “You’re right, Katherine
will definitely come. Even if she’s mad at me, she wouldn’t let me go hungry.”
He waited until noon, but Katherine still did not show up.
The assistant walked over and said, “Mr. Thompson, Ms. Parry suddenly had a stomachache. Do you want to
go and have a look?”
The man stared at his phone, completely oblivious.
The assistant repeated several times before Andrew suddenly snapped back to reality.
He grabbed the assistant’s collar, his tone urgent. “Have you found Katherine? Where is she?”
“No,” the assistant repeated the words from earlier, cautiously asking, “Do you want to go see Ms. Parry?”
Andrew forced himself and said, “Let’s go.”
He accompanied Sarah to finish the meal and walked out of the ward.
The man’s smile disappeared from his face as he called Katherine’s friend.
