I Was the Stepping Stone novel Chapter 33

Chapter 10

Ethan valued our wedding very much, and he personally took care of every detail.

During the day, he rushed between the company and the wedding venue.

In the evening, he accompanied me to choose the wedding planner and wedding dress.

“Ethan, there are some things that can be delegated to others, no need to personally oversee every detail.”

I turned my head and looked at Ethan sitting beside me, and whispered persuasively.

But he just smiled slightly, his eyes gentle like moonlight.

“Gigi, you deserved the best of everything in this world.”

These things were never a burden to me. I wanted to see you smile, enjoyed seeing you happy.

When I collided with his affectionate gaze, my heartbeat seemed to skip a beat.

“Gigi, you just focus on being the most beautiful bride.”

“Everything else, leave it to me.”

He no longer concealed his emotions, and the affection in his eyes was so strong that it couldn’t be dissolved.

Everything was proceeding in an orderly manner, but Victor’s arrival disrupted this tranquility.

That day, Ethan and I had just come out of the company elevator when we saw Victor standing in the lobby.

His face was pale, his hair was in disarray, and his white shirt on his body didn’t look as neat as before.

When his gaze fell on our clasped hands, he spoke somewhat urgently, “Giselle, let’s not wait until next spring. Let’s go

back and remarry now, okay?”

He took two steps forward and wanted to hold my hand.

Ethan subconsciously shielded me behind him, his eyes alertly watching Victor.

I squeezed Ethan’s hand and whispered softly, “I spoke to him for a few moments.”

“Mom asked us to try on the wedding dress and then go home for dinner. She made your favorite Honey-Glazed Ribs

today. Just wait for me.”

Ethan nodded slightly, his voice carrying a hint of tenderness, and replied, “Okay.”

Took a few steps forward and then stopped, not retreating too far.

Victor looked up at me, his voice choked with emotion, “Giselle, I saw your diary…”

“Was the last sentence false?”

“I know I went too far before and caused you a lot of pain. Give me another chance, can we start over?”

“I would always, always love you. I would accompany you to try on the most beautiful wedding dress. I would never be

absent on any of your future birthdays.”

“Can you… please not abandon me.”

I sneered and said, “In the past, I considered you my everything, but you personally tore this love to pieces.”

When you pushed me out for Sylvia, when the indifferent public opinion overwhelmed me, why didn’t you think about

today?

“I’m sorry, Giselle, I didn’t know, I didn’t know this would cause you so much harm. I have already found someone to deal

with the negative things online.”
