Chapter 5
In a state of disarray.
This was Tristian’s first reaction after opening the door.
The entire hall was completely smashed, and amidst these broken items, Emerson sat on the floor, burying
his head and hugging his knees.
He didn’t care to ask for the reason, and hurriedly rushed over to hug the person.
“Darling, did you get hurt?”
Emerson looked up at him, and the nervousness and concern in his eyes were so genuine that it was
impossible to imagine that this affectionate man in front of her had betrayed her.
She pushed him away and spoke coldly, “Who is Lindsey?”
Tristian’s eyes quickly filled with shock, and his thin lips turned pale. “What Lindsey? I don’t know her.”
Emerson, however, laughed bitterly and threw the pregnancy test report at him, saying, “Don’t know her, huh?
Well, then why is your name signed on the pregnancy test report!”
His body trembled fiercely, and his breath stopped instantly. “Oh my, I…”
The person in front of me harshly wiped away the tears with their hand and said, word by word.
“Tristian, I already know everything, don’t lie to me anymore, let’s get divorced.”
Tristian completely panicked, tightly holding onto her and trembling as he spoke.
“No, no, I didn’t want a divorce!”
Emerson looked up at him, filled with irony in his heart, “But you were already dirty, I found it dirty.”
His face turned pale. “That time was an accident, Emerson. I only touched her once, I’m not dirty.”
“But in my eyes, you were dirty, you betrayed me, you betrayed our relationship!”
She closed her eyes in resignation and said, “Let’s get divorced, Tristian. Let’s part ways amicably!”
Tristian immediately embraced her, “Emerson, don’t divorce me. As long as you don’t divorce me, I promise
you anything.”
Emerson shook his head and said, “Your promises are no longer of any use to me. I let you go, and you
should let me go too.”
She turned around and left after speaking.
Watching her receding figure, he tremblingly held his hand to his chest, as if trying to squeeze out the pain in his heart, but only felt a more intense agony.
“Emerson, did you really have to leave me?”

“Yes!”
She closed her eyes and tried to control her emotions.
The man could no longer bear it, he took a deep breath and ordered the servant beside him, “Someone, take Mrs. Eldred back to her room. Unless I give the order, no one is allowed to let her out.”
