Xena looked at Zion with a disapproving expression, seemingly displeased with his words.

Exhausted, Frank rubbed his brow and said helplessly. “Okay, everyone, get some rest. You guys shouldn’t be too harsh on Janie, especially you, Zion!”

Annoyed by Frank’s words, Zion was just about to reply when he heard Kathy say wearily, “All of you, go back to your rooms We’ll talk about this tomorrow.”

Suddenly they heard the door open. They followed the sound and saw Janie pulling a suitcase out of the door.

The Jenkins family froze as Janie quickly descended the stairs.

Frank’s eyebrows tightened, and he shouted, Janie, what are you doing?”

Jena suppressed her inner joy and hurriedly spoke. Janie, come on. Don’t go. Mom and Dad will be sad.”

Janse didn’t pay any attention to her but placed a stack of cash on the table.

Zion frowned, clearly unhappy with her words, “What’s wrong with you?”

Zion was speechless and visibly embarrassed, his face flushing with anger. The others frowned at this.

Hearing this, Ryan and Ethan hesitated

After some hesitation, Ryan and Ethan finally stepped aside.

The others shot disapproving looks at Zion.

Why was he trying to escalate things now?

Janie lowered her gaze and opened her suitcase.

With a hint of sarcasm, she said, “Go ahead and check. Search your room too, so you can’t blame me. Getting to know you is the worst thing that has ever happened to me.”

What was in the suitcase was clear at a glance. Only her belongings were there–she didn’t have much with her.

Seeing this, they were again at a loss for words.

Ryan hurriedly explained, “Janie, we don’t mean that.

But Janie didn’t care about their true intentions.

They never could say what they meant anyway, and she had no time and mood to guess.

“That’s it, I’ll leave.” Janie dragged her suitcase away.

Xena hurriedly pulled Kathy. “Mom, how can you let Janie go? Where can she go alone?”

Kathy wiped away the tears on her face. “Xena, stop. From now on, she’s not my daughter. You’re my only daughter. We’re still the same as before.”
