Chapter 70
Being rejected, Zion barked. “Fine. It’s not like we want to see with you anyway.”
Then, he sat directly next to David.

David, who wasn’t being asked, was at a loss of words. However, he said nothing since there really wasn’t any other place to sit either.
After Jackson finished his food, he was in a good mood. Then, he asked, “Why aren’t you guys eating with your sister?”
This seemingly casual question hit where it hurt most.
Ryan and Zion felt their plain noodles became even harder to swallow.
They had no intention of answering Jackson.
Jackson didn’t mind and continued, “Fine, don’t answer.”
[Poor Ryan. He got hurt by his sister and came to Janie for comfort.]
[Stop being ridiculous! Janie and Ryan have nothing to do with each other!]
[You fans sure are good at creating dramas. Please don’t drag Ryan into this.]
[They should also ask David about his opinions. He doesn’t seem very willing either.]
Seeing Ryan and Zion approaching Janie, Xena stabbed her utensils into her bowl in irritation.
In that split second, the soup splashed directly onto Jason and Emily’s faces.
“Ouch!”
“Ah!”
The food wasn’t scalding hot since it had just been served, but it wasn’t cool either, making the splashes sting.
Molly was dumbfounded, and instinctively wanted to stay away from them.
Hearing the commotion, Xena came back to her senses and quickly apologized, “I’m sorry. Here, I’ll wipe it off for you.”
Jason and Emily cursed in their hearts. After confirming their faces weren’t hurt, they suppressed their emotions and said, “It’s fine.”
‘How unlucky we are!‘ they thought to themselves.
[Are Emily and Jason okay? They literally live off their faces.]
[Xena didn’t do it on purpose either. Stop exaggerating it.]

The chaotic lunch finally ended.
Then, the director said, “Everyone, it’s time to calculate today’s earnings.”
Hearing this, Jackson got excited.

Chapter 70
Then, he looked at Ryan and Zion as he suppressed his pride and said, “I believe we had a little bet going on, didn’t we?”
Hearing his words, Ryan and Zion wished they could travel back in time and swallow their earlier words.
Forcing a smile, Ryan said, “Oh, that was just for fun. But sure, we can take a look.”
Jackson and Janic earned 200 dollars.
David carned 100 dollars.
Ryan and Zion earned 150 dollars.
Molly and Jason earned 15 dollars.
Ryan and Zion wasn’t pleased with the result. Even though the money they made didn’t seem much less compared to Jackson, they finished much later than him, which was a total defeat.
It was humiliating to them.
“Looks like I won!” Jackson laughed.
David gave a thumbs up and said, “Impressive! You guys still sold out the fastest.”
Jackson graciously accepted the praise.
Janie smiled and chimed in, “It is indeed impressive. After all, I didn’t really do much.”

With that, Jackson’s pride was to its fullest. However, he didn’t fully agree with Janie’s words. “Don’t say that. I couldn’t have done it without you.”
