Rise of the returned sister (by Isla) novel Chapter 61

Ryan always considered himself a patient man, but Xena was testing his limits.

They had already apologized, but Xena acted like she couldn’t hear a word and continued to cry.

As Ryan recalled how obedient Janie was in front of Jackson, Ryan finally snapped.

He couldn’t hold back his anger any longer and scolded, What is your problem, Zena? Haven’t you cried enough yes?

His outburst startled both Xena and Zion.

Xena stopped crying and looked at Ryan sadly.

Ryan suppressed his anger and continued, You’re 23 years old, Xena. You’re not a kid anymore. Can you stop throwing tantrums for once? We’ve been digging potatoes all day and are exhausted. Can’t you think about someone else for once?

Although Zion rarely saw Ryan lose his temper but still felt that the latter was right.

Meanwhile, Xena felt embarrassed by Ryan’s scolding.

To be honest, the reason she had been crying all along was not only because she felt wronged. At the same time, she wanted to let others know how much they cared for her.

At home, she was always the one beingpampered, which had led to her not knowing any boundaries.

Even until now, she didn’t think she had done anything wrong.

Xena bit her lip and lowered her head without saying a word. Fortunately, she stopped crying.

Seeing this, Ryan softened his tone and said, Alright, we’re not trying to criticize you. Just pull yourself together and let’s go. Janie and the others have already set off.”

The moment Janie’s name was mentioned, jealousy flashed across Xena’s eyes.

She knew she couldn’t push her luck anymore, so she whispered, Okay, Ryan. Please don’t be mad.

Finally, Ryan and Zion breathed a sigh of relief as it was finally over.

They didn’t want to say anything else to Xena and simply said, Let’s get going!

Then, Ryan walked away immediately.

Zion hesitated for a moment before following suit.

After all, they hadn’t moved the potatoes yet.

Thinking about the baskets of potatoes, Zion felt the urge to quit.

[It’s rare to see Ryan lose his temper. Xena should be more considerate.]

[I don’t understand why Xena is their sister instead of Janie? Wouldn’t it be great if Janie were? She’s so good to Jackson. Xena is so troublesome.]

[Xena is just a little girl with a temper. She knows her mistakes now. Stop trying to guilt trip her!]

In the meantime, Xena gritted her teeth and followed them.

After all, they weren’t her biological brothers. She still needed to maintain a good relationship with them.

Ryan, I’ll help too!

She took the initiative and helped move the potatoes.

Ryan and Zion nodded in agreement.

(+50)

Looking at their reactions, Xena was even more upset. After all, Ryan and Zion wouldn’t have let her lift a finger in the past.

Things were different once Janie was around.

At this moment, Jason was also at his breaking point. If Emily wasn’t his senior and the fact that this was all on livestream, he might’ve snapped too.
