William and Isabella quickly regained consciousness, and David returned to the recording site that same day.

Feeling immense gratitude towards Janie after the recent events, he warmly invited her to his home, but Janie declined without a second thought.

“Have you figured out what happened?” she asked.

David was taken aback. “Not so soon! I was too busy celebrating. But we will take this seriously.”

Janie nodded. “Okay.”

“Once we find out who did this, we’ll throw a banquet and invite you,” David promised.

Janie considered it for a moment before agreeing.

David was now treating her like a goddess, showering her with attention.

Jackson, gritting his teeth, pulled David away.

Meanwhile, Molly, who had faced a shocking ordeal, returned home to recover.

Emily, Jason, and Xena were still healing in the hospital, while Ryan was juggling trips between home and the hospital, feeling exhausted.

Without the troublesome individuals around, Janie and Jackson found their lives much more peaceful.

Janie locked herself in her room to practice, and every time David tried to reach her, he failed and eventually stopped trying.

After two days of recovery, Emily, Jason, and Xena finally returned.

The situation had been clarified: Emily had innocently been unaware of the poison, and it was neither intentional nor anyone else’s fault.

Jackson elegantly rolled his eyes. “They’re back.”

David felt displeased because he and Jackson had been enjoying each other’s company, even though Janie wasn’t paying him. much attention.

Jason cheerfully greeted, “Miss Janie, Mr. Moore, Mr. Smith, it’s great to see you all! I’ve been thinking of you these past few days.”

Jackson and David didn’t respond.

As for Janic, she was lost in her own world.

Jason felt awkward and unhappy, sensing their complete disregard and feeling that they looked down on him because of his lower status.

The director said, “It’s good that everyone is alright. Please, have a seat.”

Once Jason, Ryan, and Xena were seated, Emily approached hesitantly.

The director, impatient yet concerned, asked, “What’s wrong? Are you still feeling unwell?”

Emily looked up, tears streaming down her face.

Jackson and the others remained silent.

Emily bowed deeply, sobbing, “I’m so sorry, everyone. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have gone through all this trouble. I truly feel guilty. I don’t expect your forgiveness, but I hope for a chance to make amends.”

Jackson and David thought they weren’t the ones who had been wronged by her, so they could only look on in silence.

Janie continued to drift in her thoughts.

Ryan, who came from a wealthy background and was at the top of his field, had little patience for Emily’s pretenses.

He had a strong dislike for Emily and wanted nothing to do with her.

They began to act out a sisterly drama.

Ryan frowned. He didn’t appreciate Xena’s kindness, but he couldn’t say anything, as she had always been good–i rted. Seeing Xena forgive Emily, Jason also stood up, smiling. “Emily, how could I blame you? You were just trying to cook for us. Who would have thought there was poison in it? We were all in the hospital together; you’ve suffered too.”

Emily looked even more moved.

Janie, finally back in reality, frowned slightly at the scene, not understanding that they clearly didn’t like each other while pretending to have deep feelings.
