Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Xena was touched, “Emily, you’re so sweet, but you didn’t need to go to such lengths. It’s just a misunderstanding. I’m sure Janie didn’t take it to heart at all.” She looked to Janic, “Isn’t that right?”
Janic nodded. “Of course.” They were just inconsequential person, and if something happened she’d fix it on the spot, it wasn’t worth dwelling on.
Emily’s face stiffened. Janie’s reply seemed normal, but it felt off somehow.
Jackson also put on his signature fake smile. “We certainly didn’t take it personally.”
David also nodded in agreement.

Ever since he got the talisman, he felt like his soul had been cleansed, and his entire being was more comfortable than ever. Compared to the recent irritable pain, it was almost as if he had been revitalized.
Emily’s heart became even more twisted, but she couldn’t say anything. After all, they were just responding to Xena’s words.
[Xena is nice.]
[Haha, clearly Janie is just replying Xena’s words, why do I feel that the meaning has changed?]
Jason glanced at the live broadcasting equipment and hurriedly smiled, “Although I don’t want Emily to work so hard, since you’ve already prepared the meal, I’m going to have a good taste of it, and definitely live up to your hard work.”
Emily glared at him, “You’re sweet.”
Jason chuckled and said, “What I’m saying comes from the heart!” He hurriedly added, “Let’s go eat. I’m hungry.”
He took the lead and walked in. Xena followed closely behind.
Ryan glanced at Janie and also walked in.
While Janie didn’t have any reaction, Jackson was less than hal
In his heart, he was still a little jealous. ‘Why should Ryan be Janie’s blood brother? Janie should be closest to me!‘
Jackson’s invisible tail seemed to droop. The others were oblivious, but Janie felt it immediately. Somewhat helpless, she stood on her tiptoes slightly and jerked his head. “Hurry up and go.”
Jackson’s mood immediately turned from rainy to sunny. ‘Janie’s favorite brother is, of course, me! What Ryan, Ethan, Zion are all fool. Janie didn’t care about them at all.’
Jackson’s invisible tail rose again. Janie couldn’t help but smile as well.
David watched their interaction and even felt like his own head needed to be touched. He silently rubbed his head and didn’t say anything.
[Why did Jackson get upset all of a sudden? Is it just my imagination?]
[Oooh, so cute. Jackson like a big dog. Does it feel good to be touched on the head?]
[David: Want to be touched on the head by Janie.]
Emily did make a large table of dishes, and they didn’t look too great.
Janie knew it was awful just by looking at it. It was not that it’s not good, it was awful.

Jackson, as a senior chef, naturally saw it at a glance as well.
Emily enthusiastically said, “Everyone, give it a try.”
She was a little embarrassed. “This is my first time cooking, so it might not taste amazing, but I put my heart into it. I’ll definitely try harder next time.”
She turned her attention Janie, Jackson, and David. “Come on over and sit down to enjoy it.”
The corner of Jackson’s eyes twitched, “No need, my sister is used to my cooking” Janie raised her eyebrows slightly. She didn’t deny it.
Emily instantly slumped, she sighed, “Well then, your cooking is so good, I can understand if she doesn’t want to eat my homely food.”
Jackson changed his expression. “What are you talking about? Let me be straight with you. Your food is terrible, and it doesn’t matter if it’s a home–cooked meal or a full banquet, got it?”
Emily’s face went white.
Jason retorted, “Mr. Moore, why are you saying that? It’s her first time cooking, and honestly, this is pretty impressive already.”
Jackson smiled thinly, “Then you must finish eating it!”
Jason looked at Emily and firmly said, “I will.”
Xena also spoke, “I’ll try to eat too!” Emily looked at them with emotion.

Jackson and Janie didn’t bother with their false friendship and silently turned around and left. David quickly ran after them.
[That doesn’t look too appetizing. Maybe it just seems off, but it actually tastes pretty good.]
[Janie is super picky and she totally look down on our simple food.]
[I’m speechless. The food particularly unappetizing. It looks terrible to eat. If they can afford it, what’s the point of having a big feast every single day?]
[Did David forget who invited him here? He only has Janie on his mind.]
Emily shot a cold look at David and said, “David, I invited you here. You really don’t want to try my food?”
David was totally focused on Janie at the moment; he couldn’t care less about Emily, who was already on his bad side.
He said politely, “I want to follow Jackson to learn, you guys eat.”
Jason comforted Emily, “It’s fine. We’ll eat it.”
Emily had tears in her eyes. “Thank you,” she said.
To prove his words, Jason directly forked up a piece of meat and stuffed it into her mouth. Then, his face instantly turned pale.
Not to mention the feeling that he was almost drowning in salt, it felt like there were strange crumbs stuck in his mouth.
