Chapter59
“I’ll go back and thank them later.”
Reginald laughed, “Are you kidding me?”
“I didn’t see Mr. Thorton joking,” she knew Reginald’s good intentions, indirectly encouraging. Besides Teresa, he was the second person to encourage her.
“Have Nathan send this version directly to Mr Murray later.”
“Nothing to modify?”
“No,” Reginald stood up, “Have you eaten?”
“No.”
“Let’s go.”
So the three of them went to the hotel restaurant together.
At this time, the restaurant wasn’t crowded, they were seated quickly and started eating. Adelaide ate quietly while listening to Nathan report some work to Reginald.
When it comes to translation, Reginald fluttered his eyelashes and said, “I remember you know Swainan.”
Adelaide’s eyes widened in shock, she didn’t expect him to know this too.
Learning a foreign language, that was a course Spencer once signed up for her. Since the company often works with overseas clients and needs translators, Spencer hoped that after learning, she could occasionally help out, so she decided to take the course.
“Um.”
“Come to my room later, you translate that document.” Reginald
said, “I’ll pay you overtime for it.”
She was about to say “Just lend a hand casually, no big deal,”
when suddenly a figure popped out and squeezed right next to
her. “Adelaide-!”
Nathan was stunned.
As for Reginald, he was already frowning.
Abigail was like, holding Adelaide’s arm, “I just went to knock on your door, no one answered, I was about to leave. Then I thought I’d try my luck here, and here you are.”
Back in the day, her gaze would have been on Reginald right
away.
But now she’s all about Adelaide.
This doesn’t feel right… Nathan muttered to himself.
Adelaide was startled by her sudden appearance, “Ms. Murray, do you need me for something?”
“Give you back your money, and by the way, I also want to chat with you.” Abigail said as she picked up Adelaide’s portion of pasta and grinned at Reginald, “Mr. Thorton, Adelaide lent it to me for a while, thank you.”
She didn’t care what Reginald would say, she just turned her head and urged, “Adelaide, come on, let’s sit oyer there.”
Adelaide could only get up, “Mr. Thorton, then I’ll go first.”
Reginald’s eye twitched slightly.
Nathan eased the tension and exclaimed, “Girls‘ emotions
always come in a mysterious way!”
As soon as the words fell, Reginald stared at him with eyes like
needles, “How amazing?”
“Nathan said it’s indescribable.”
Abigail saw her only eating pasta, and asked, “Is Reginald so
stingy that he only gave you this to eat?”
“No, I just want to eat this.”
