Chapter58
Adelaide was thinking about how to argue back when Reginald
pointed across the street and said, “Let’s go, let’s have breakfast.”
After a scary morning run, Reginald went back to his room,
took a shower, and started working with high spirits. Adelaide,
on the other hand, went back to her room, lay on the sofa for a
while before taking a shower, and then started working too.
This morning, Adelaide finished the initial design drawings. She
called Nathan first because she was afraid Reginald was still
busy working. “Mr. Hurst, is Mr. Thorton taking a break?”
“Not yet, Mr. Thorton is still in a video conference. Does Ms.

“I finished the initial design draft and want to show it to Mr.

“Have you guys eaten yet?”

Seeing the situation, Adelaide softened and said, “So what
should I say?”
“I pushed the door open gently and let Mr. Thorton see you,”
Nathan said with a smile.
Adelaide had to ask him what he meant, standing in front of the study door, she grabbed the handle, nervously turning her face
to Nathan.
Nathan clenched his fists, moving up and down, cheering her
Chapter58
She thought being too soft–hearted was a problem, she needed
to change.
Took a deep breath, she plucked up the courage and opened the
door.
Just as her long hair fell to one side and leaned on her shoulder, Reginald sitting inside knew it was her.
His cold expression softened in an instant. Then he just said The meeting is over, and hung up the video call without waiting for
the others to react.
Seeing the woman standing at the door, Reginald leaned back in his seat and said, “Adelaide, are you planning to be a gatekeeper
