Chapter52
The two of them walked for about ten minutes and finally arrived at the good place that Reginald had mentioned. With the guidance of the staff, they went in through the internal passage.
After realizing where she was, Adelaide was completely shocked and surprised.
She wanted to come here too, but the tickets for today were sold out. She was planning to book tickets for tomorrow instead.
This is the whole picture of Eldoria, including introductions to the design inspirations of any buildings.
Soon, Adelaide realized something was wrong. There should be a lot of tourists here, but now it seems like everyone has been cleared out, only the two of them.
Reginald had taken off his mask, “Take your time.”
Adelaide was shocked: “How much did you spend?”
It was definitely a private event, definitely spent some money.
“The boss here is a friend of mine,” explained Reginald, then he asked her, “Do you really want to waste your time on this issue
when you could spend an hour quietly finding your materials?”
Adelaide immediately snapped out of it and pulled out her
camera, “Thanks, Mr. Thorton.”
After saying that, she started to focus.
Reginald casually walked beside her, and before long, he was holding her unfinished coffee and her bag.
Adelaide had no idea how smoothly she had just handed him the things.
Time flew by, Adelaide got all the materials she wanted, feeling super happy.
When she turned around to tell Reginald that she had already sorted it out, she was shocked to find her bag in Reginald’s hand!
She almost cursed in her heart.
Too busy to take the bag back from Reginald, she apologized,
“Sorry Mr. Thorton, you should have reminded me just now.”
Because I used to be with Garrett before, I got into the habit of
always handing him things without thinking. Just now, I was so
focused that I actually showed that habit.
Seeing her reaction, Reginald looked cool and said, “Am I being
mistaken for Garrett?”
“Nope,” she denied quickly.
“Well, it seems so,” said Reginald coolly, with a hint of sarcasm, “Habits are not a good thing, Ms. Pierce, they need to change.”
Someone stood to her right, with one hand in his pocket, bent down, and whispered in her ear, “Just this once. If you ever treat me like him again, you’re in big trouble.”
The naked threat.
Adelaide chuckled dryly, “There won’t be a next time.”
Next time, she’d rather go out without a bag.
Driving back to the hotel, Adelaide went to her room and just finished organizing the materials when she found a ringtone in her bag. Curious, she took it out and was shocked, Didn’t she
give the phone back to Reginald?!
Thinking back carefully, she guessed that he must have slipped
it in when it was in Reginald’s hands at the time.
She answered the phone and said, Mr. Thorton.
