Rejected Luna Returns with Secret Twins
Chapter 219
Lysandra’s POV
I hung up on Tristan, tossing my phone onto the bed like it had burned me.
“What the hell is he playing at?” I muttered, combing my fingers through my damp hair.
The offer seemed innocent enough on the surface–a chance to see my children on their birthday. Any mother would jump at the opportunity. But this was Tristan Wolfbane.
Men like Tristan didn’t suddenly change. They didn’t suddenly decide to be generous. Every move he made was calculated, designed to benefit himself in some way. This sudden invitation wasn’t kindness–it was bait for a trap I couldn’t yet see.
I sank onto the edge of my bed, fatigue settling deep in my bones. “I can’t even leave this pack, I whispered to the empty room. “He has my children.”
My mind drifted to Eleanor and the coffee shop–my only source of stability since everything had fallen apart. She’d been the first to extend a hand when I’d been drowning, offering me work when I had nothing.
“Thank god for Eleanor,” I murmured, lying back against the pillows.
Im who‘
My thoughts shifted to Eldreth, who’d left just an hour ago. His revelation that he already knew about my past with Tristan had surprised me. Apparently, he’d heard stories from Moonshade Pack survivors about the war and our confrontation.
He promised to still help Alaric regardless. The memory of my brother lying still as death in that hospital bed made my chest ache. I needed him to recover. I couldn’t bear seeing him like that any longer.
Eldreth had promised to speak with my father upon returning to Silverblood Pack. Dad would be back tomorrow after visiting Kieran in Moonshade. I’d called earlier to check on Kieran’s condition, and the news wasn’t good. Another worry to add to my growing pile.

“Morning, Lys!” Eleanor’s cheerful voice greeted me as I stepped into Howling Beans Coffee the next morning.
I blinked, momentarily stunned by the chaos inside. Hundreds of coffee cups lined the counters and tables, with staff members hurrying to fill them.
“Morning, Ellie,” I replied, hanging my jacket on the hook by the door. “You seem in a good mood today.”
She grinned, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. “Of course! I’ve never had an order this big before. This is our first time serving Wolfbane Enterprises!”
I tied the apron around my waist, trying to keep my expression neutral.
“Seems we won’t be having regular customers today,” I observed, nodding toward the mountain of cups.
Eleanor wiped her hands on her apron. “No, we’re closed to the public. We need all hands on deck for this.”
She glanced toward the back room as her phone rang. “That might be them calling about delivery. Be right back.”
I moved behind the counter, grabbing a carafe to start filling cups. The other baristas worked in focused silence, clearly intimidated by the size
of the order.
When Eleanor returned, her smile had grown even wider. “Lysandra, good news!”
Chapter 219
“What news, Eleanor?” I kept filling cups, not looking up.
“We don’t have to make coffee for everyone in the company.”
I paused. “Isn’t that a loss for the shop? More employees means more money, right?”
“Not like that. Alpha said we only need to provide coffee to his floor daily…” She paused, her eyes sparkling. ‘Daily.”
“Daily?” I repeated, my hands freezing mid–pour.
“Yes! This could become our biggest regular account!” She clapped her hands together. “But there’s one condition.”
I set down the carafe slowly. “What condition?”
Eleanor hesitated, her excitement dimming slightly. “Alpha said the order will only continue if you go to his company and deliver the coffee to him personally.”
“What?” The word exploded from me,
louder than I intended.
Every employee in the shop turned to stare. I felt heat rush to my face as I realized I’d practically shouted.
My hands trembled as I grasped the edge of the counter. That manipulative bastard. First the birthday invitation, now this. He was forcing me into a corner, using Eleanor’s business as leverage.
I marched to the break room, needing a moment to collect myself. Eleanor followed, closing the door behind us.
“Lys, what’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?” Her concern made me feel guilty for my outburst.
Ishook my head. “It’s not you, Ellie. It’s him.”
“Alpha Tristan?” She looked confused. “I thought he was a friend of yours. The way he took you out of the shop yesterday made me think you two were catching up.”
A bitter laugh escaped me. “Catching up? That’s impossible.”
“Why? He’s our Alpha.” Eleanor leaned against the door. “What did he do that makes you not want to see him?
