Rejected Luna Returns with Secret Twins (Lysandra) novel Chapter 236

Chapter 236

Third Person POV

Selene stared at Tristan, her eyes widening in disbelief. His admission hung in the air between them, its weight crushing any remaining hope she’d desperately clung to.

He just admitted he loves Lysandra.

The revelation transported her back nearly six years, to the night shortly after Lysandra had divorced Tristan and fled the pack. Selene had thought everything was finally falling into place. Her happiness had been shortlived. Just a month later, she’d tried to approach him. He’d pushed her away, even in his drunken state, calling out for Lysandra.

Lysandra, how dare you leave me? I’ll punish you. Come back to me.His words had been seared into her memory.

She’d had no choice but to leave him that night. After that, she’d schemed to share his bed while he was drunk. But he’d never given her the opportunity. Even intoxicated, his mind unclear, he’d remembered that woman’s scent, her touch.

One night, thinking alcohol had affected him, she’d found him completely sober. He’d been honest with her, telling her he didn’t love her, that he wanted to end things. Since then, she’d emotionally blackmailed him for years. Always wearing sleeveless dresses, drawing his gaze to the scar on her arm, reminding him of the past.

Everything had gone so smoothly. So how had this man found the courage to overcome his past? Selene couldn’t help feeling terrified. She was afraid of losing him.

I don`t care,Selene whispered, her voice hardening with each word. I will never let you break up with me.

She moved closer, rising onto her tiptoes. Her arms snaked around his neck as she tilted her head, lips reaching for his. Tristan turned his face away, her lips landing on his jawline instead. His hands clamped around her wrists, pushing her back firmly.

She was shocked by his reaction. There was no anger showing on his face, but after spending years with this man, Selene knew he was furious about her behavior.

You’ve lost your mind,Tristan said. Go home before you do something you’ll regret later.

No, please, Tristan.Tears welled in her eyes as she clutched at his shirt. Don’t do this to me. I’ll die.

If you stay with me, you’ll die a little every day.His voice dropped, tinged with something almost like compassion.

Tristan guided her toward the elevator, intent on removing her from his home. Selene dragged her feet, resisting every step. The elevator doors slid open before they reached them, revealing Darius escorting a woman whose hands were bound behind her back.

The woman wore a kneelength dress, several scratches visible on her exposed legs. When she caught sight of Selene beside Tristan, her eyes widened in recognition, shock twisting her features.

Tristan’s gaze darted between the two women, noticing their reactions. Do you know her, Selene?

Nno, I don’t,Selene stammered, avoiding eye contact.

Then why are you stuttering?Tristan’s voice sharpened, his eyes narrowing.

Selene cleared her throat, quickly composing herself. You’re right, Tristan. I should go. She glanced back at the woman, curiosity overriding her distress. Who is she? Why are you holding her captive?

A cold smile touched Tristan’s lips. I find her charming, don’t you?

Selene frowned, glaring at the woman. You dare seduce him?

Chapter 236

Nno,the woman shook her head frantically, fear etched across her face.

See? Tristan turned back to Selene. Didn’t I tell you I’m not a good man? Now go home and celebrate our breakup.

He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. Tonight will be long.

AAlpha, the bound woman pleaded, 1-1 didn’t do anything.

Selene pressed her body against Tristan’s, fingers trailing up his arm. Tristan, let this woman go. She looks innocent. Spend the night with me instead. I won’t disappoint you.

Tristan stepped back, putting distance between them. The message was clear: their conversation was over.

After Selene had reluctantly entered the elevator, Tristan approached the trembling woman. She tried to back away, but Darius blocked her escape. Tristan stood before her, fingers tangling in her hair, gripping tightly.

When she hissed in pain, Tristan smirked. Vivian, do you recognize me?

Vivian nodded, trembling. Yyes, Alpha.

His gaze turned glacial. Do you know why you’re here?>

Wwhat did I do?Her voice quavered.

What did you do?Tristan released her hair, turning toward his apartment door. Think about every crime you’ve committed in your life, especially what you did to Lysandra.

He walked away, calling over his shoulder, Bring her in. I have all night to hear her confession.

Vivian stared after him, terror dawning in her eyes as she realized what he might know.

Despite her bound hands, Vivian lunged forward as they approached Tristan’s apartment door. She fell to her knees at his feet, desperation etched across her face.

I don’t know why you brought me here, but please let me go. Tears streaked her makeup. I never meant to offend you, my Alpha.

Tristan’s hand paused on the door handle, his eyes darkening beyond anything she’d seen before. You didn’t offend me?
