Rejected Luna Returns with Secret Twins (Lysandra) novel Chapter 19

Chapter 19

Third Person POV

Tristan forcefully pressed his lips against Lysandra’s, his tongue pushing past her teeth to explore her mouth. His fingers tightened in her damp hair, holding her head in place as he deepened the kiss.

He tasted her hungrily, his tongue intertwining with hers, occasionally nipping at her lower lip. His breath came hot and heavy against her skin as he pressed her harder against the door, the intensity of his kiss conveying five years of pentup desire.

He sucked on her tongue, drawing a reluctant response from her body even as her mind rebelled.

The taste of her lips unleashed something primal in Tristan. His wolf thrashed wildly beneath his skin, howling with a single demand that echoed through every cell in his body.

Mark her! Mark her! MARK HER!

Her softness pressed against him, and for the first time since she’d walked away, the relentless ache in his chest

subsided.

For one perfect moment, everything made sense again. The puzzle piece he’d been missing slid back into place, and the world righted itself.

Then Lysandra’s initial shock transformed into fury.

She shoved him back with surprising strength, creating distance between them. Before he could react, her palm

connected with his cheek in a sharp, stinging slap that echoed through the silent hotel room.

Tristan stood motionless, shock freezing him in place. He touched his burning cheek, disbelief quickly giving way to outrage. His eyes flashed dangerously, silver light bleeding into the edges of his irises.

You dare strike me?His voice emerged as a low, controlled growl.

Lysandra straightened her spine, lifting her chin in defiance. The silk of her nightgown clung to her curves as she

stood her ground, eyes blazing with righteous anger.

You dare kiss me?She countered, not backing down an inch. Who do you think you are?

Her reaction both stunned and captivated him. The meek, submissive woman he’d married had vanished, replaced by this fierce creature who met his gaze without flinching. Tristan struggled to understand the storm of emotions thrashing through him. Why had he kissed her? Was it anger that she might be with another man? Or was it the desperate need to remind herand himselfthat she was still his?

His fingers loosened his tie with a sharp tug, but his eyes remained locked on her. Your Alpha.

Lysandra let out a bitter laugh. My Alpha? I’ve been divorced from you for five years, Tristan. I have a new life now. With Kieran.

Chapter 19

At the mention of the Beta’s name, Tristan’s knuckles whitened as his hands clenched into fists. Something dark and possessive unfurled in his chest.

He’s not worthy of you,he said.

And you are?Lysandra pointed toward the door. I don’t want to hear another word. You need to leave-

A sudden knock interrupted her command. Lysandra immediately moved toward the door, grateful for the interruption. She pulled it open without checking who stood on the other side.

Kieran!Relief colored her voice.

Kieran stepped into the room, his expression shifting from friendly to alert as he registered Tristan’s presence. His posture subtly changed, shoulders squaring as he assessed the situation.

Tristan turned slowly, facing the intruder with barely contained rage. How dare this Beta come to Lysandra’s room at this hour? The implication sent fresh fury coursing through him.

What’s he doing here, Lyss?Kieran asked, never taking his eyes off Tristan.

Tristan bristled at the casual nickname, at the intimacy it suggested between them.

Lysandra lowered her gaze briefly. I was just telling him to leave.

Kieran stepped further into the room, positioning himself between Lysandra and Tristan. Alpha Tristan, may I ask what you’re doing in a young woman’s hotel room at this hour?

I could ask you the same question, Beta Kieran,Tristan replied, voice like ice. What business brings you here?

Lysandra moved to Kieran’s side, frustration evident in her expression. I already answered this for you, Tristan.

I’m with him now. Please leave.

LYSANDRA!Tristan’s voice thundered through the room, his patience snapping.

Kieran shifted, partially shielding her with his body. The protective gesture only fueled Tristan’s anger.

That’s not how you speak to her,Kieran said, his tone firm but measured. Remember, she’s not your wife anymore. As a free woman, she can date whoever she chooses. You have no claim on her.

Tristan took a threatening step forward. You have some nerve. I don’t think you remember who you’re speaking

to.

As he spoke, his gaze shifted back to Lysandra, standing behind Kieran’s protective form. Something twisted in his gut at the sighther seeking protection from another man, against him.

Kieran shook his head, a slight smile playing at his lips. No one could forget who you are, Alpha Tristan. You’re the most powerful and renowned Alpha. But that’s in pack matters and warfare. Right now, standing before me is Lysandra’s exhusband. Since you know she doesn’t want contact with you, stay away from her. She’s not your concern anymore.
