There was a brief silence on the other end of the phone before Scott’s cold voice came through. “Bianca likes that dress. Tell me how much it costs, and I’ll transfer the money to you.”

Cora’s face was filled with anger. She snapped, “Scott, who gave you the right to give my dress away? You have one hour to return that dress. If you don’t, you’ll be hearing from my lawyer!”

She hung up furiously, then thought for a moment and called Phoebe. “Phoebe, I’m so sorry. Last night, I left the birthday gift you gave me in that jerk’s car. After breaking up with him, I completely forgot about it.

“I asked him to give it back today, but his girlfriend took a liking to the dress, and that jerk just gave it to her! I’m so mad. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get it back!”

Phoebe frowned. She hadn’t expected Cora’s ex to be this shameless. She replied, “The dress isn’t a big deal. I can always design you another one. But they’re clearly walking all over you–what are you going to do about it?”

“That’s very nice of you, but you don’t have to. I’ll definitely get it back. I already told that jerk that if he doesn’t return it, he’ll be hearing from my lawyer!”

“Alright. Let me know if you need help.”

“Okay, I will.”

Just as Phoebe ended the call, she received a report from her subordinates.

The person said, “Ms. Greene, we found out who drugged you last night. It was someone named Alaric Donovan. But before we could deal with him, he got into trouble on his own and was arrested. Looks like he’ll be spending some time in prison.”

Phoebe was silent for a few seconds before saying coldly, “Send all the evidence you found to the police. Make sure he stays in there for life.”

“Understood.”

That evening, Declan sent someone to pick up Phoebe for dinner. On the way, she planned to have a calm conversation with him over the meal. But the moment she arrived at the restaurant, her eyes suddenly fixed on something.

Stepping out of the car, she walked briskly up behind Scott and Bianca. As she took a closer look at the dress Bianca was wearing, she became certain that it was Heart’s Whisper.

She instantly realized the two were Cora’s scumbag ex and his homewrecker girlfriend–the one he could never forget.

Just as she was about to say something, Declan asked from behind her, “What are you standing there for? Why not wait inside?”

Hearing his voice, Scott and Bianca turned around. Scott looked surprised as he asked, “Declan, I never thought I’d see you at a couples‘ restaurant.”

Declan glanced at him and nodded indifferently.

Bianca was stunned and thought, ‘Isn’t Declan into Jennifer? Why is he here with Phoebe?”

She shot Phoebe a disgusted look, then pulled out her phone and sent a message to Jennifer. After that, she smiled at Scott and said, “Since we ran into each other, why don’t the four of us have dinner together?”

Scott was about to decline when Phoebe, who had kept quiet until then, suddenly spoke up. “Sure, why not?”

Inside the private room, Bianca put on a bright smile and turned to Declan. “Mr. Richardson, you haven’t introduced the lady beside you. Who is she to you?”

Phoebe let out a soft laugh and spoke slowly, enunciating each word. “You’re not worthy of knowing it.”

Her words were sharp, and Scott and Bianca, sitting across from her, both looked visibly upset.
