A graceful figure in cream walked purposefully down the path from Adam’s villa, her composed demeanor never faltering. As she disappeared around the corner, three small figures froze in their tracks.

Alex, Lucas, and Lily had been accompanying their great–grandfather on his mom–prescribed morning walk when they spotted the elegant visitor. They exchanged worried glances as Alex whispered, Uncle Adam’s fiancée… could that be her?”

They managed to hustle Joseph back home in record time, though still maintaining a careful pace for his sake. The moment he was safely settled in his favorite armchair, the triplets exchanged meaningful looks.

Moments later, they were hammering on Adam’s door with the kind of urgency usually reserved for ice cream trucks about to leave the neighborhood.

Thomas opened the door, looking slightly frazzled. “Kids? What’s wrong?”

“Uncle Adam!” they chorused, already ducking under Thomas’s arm and racing into the house. Their voices carried down the hallway: “We need to ask you something super important!”

They found Adam in his study, tablet in hand. His stern expression softened noticeably at their entrance – a change that didn’t go unnoticed by his sharp–eyed assistant.

“Uncle Adam!” Lily burst out, her eyes wide with calculated innocence. “We saw a really pretty lady leaving just now. Was that your

fiancée?”

Adam’s expression hardened at the mention of a fiancée, though the children seemed unfazed by his sudden change in demeanor.

“No,” he replied flatly. “There’s no fiancée. The marriage hasn’t been decided, and I have no intention of letting it be.”

The relief on their faces was almost comical.

Lucas puffed up his chest importantly. “You know what? Being single is way better!” He nodded sagely, looking ridiculously like a miniature life coach. “Marriage can be super complicated. What if she tries to control everything? Makes you hand over your salary? Then you couldn’t buy us treats anymore!”

His face scrunched up in adorable disgust. Plus, you spend so much time with Mom for treatment stuff. That could get really awkward to explain. Women are just too much trouble!”

Thomas nearly choked trying to hold back his laughter. “Listen to you! Where’d you learn all this, young man?”

“Hmph!” Lucas planted his hands on his hips, sticking out his little ally. “It’s not about knowing a lot – it’s about knowing what

matters!”

A ghost of a smile played around Adam’s lips. “Quite the philosophers, aren’t you? Alright, I need to work now. Go on, play Somewhere else.”

As they prepared to leave, Adam reached out and gently patted each of their heads. The gesture sent warm tingles through their scalps, and they found themselves unconsciously leaning into the touch.

Back in their own villa, the emergency strategy session commenced immediately.

“This is bad!” Alex paced their playroom like a tiny CEO. “We need to speed things up between Mom and Dad before someone else gets there first!”

“But how?” Lily flopped onto their giant teddy bear. “The movie thing didn’t work as well as we hoped.”

Lucas’s eyes suddenly lit up with mischief. “Hey, what if we had a power outage? We’d have to go to Dad’s place for safety, right?”

Alex’s fingers were already itching toward his laptop. “The electrical systems… I could probably…”

Within minutes, he was deep in code, his small face scrunched in concentration. But as he explored the system, his eyes widened with growing excitement.

“Whoa,” he breathed. “The houses share some connections. But man, this security is something else! It’s like a video game boss

battle!”

His siblings crowded around, watching lines of code scroll past.

“Can you do it?” Lily whispered.

Alex cracked his knuckles, grinning. “Only one way to find out!”

In his office, Adam’s phone buzzed with a security alert. His eyebrows rose as he noticed the sophisticated probe testing his systems. Interesting approach, he thought, fingers flying across his keyboard. But not quite good enough.

The virtual chess match that followed would have impressed any cybersecurity expert. Attack and counter–attack, each move met with an elegant defense. Adam found himself actually enjoying the challenge, though he couldn’t identify the source.

Back in the triplets‘ room, Alex was sweating. “This is crazy!” he gasped, frantically trying to cover his tracks as his attempt was smoothly blocked. “I’ve never seen anyone move this fast!”
