Chapter 411
Every day, they would video all with the children, listening as they excitedly shared their various adventures: learning to bake at the Haven household, Tixing cars with Brandon, or playing chess under Joseph’s patient guidance.
‘We’ll be home tomorrow,” Adam said, his voice warm with antipation. Back with you little monsters.”
“Yes,” Irene added softly. “Back to our home, to where we belong
“Ready to deal with those three little tornadoes again?” Adam asked with a laugh, squeezing her shoulder.
“Always,” Irene’s voice was filled with tenderness. “They’re the light in my heart.”
“Not just them,” Adam added, taking her hand in his. “All four of you–you’re my world, my home. Everything that matters.”
Under the starry sky that night, they sat together on the balcony, shoulders touching, hearts full of gratitude for their hard–won love and excitement about returning to family life.
Four weeks after their arrival at the institute, on a bright afternoon, Adam and Irene began their journey home. Sitting in the back of the luxury sedan, their fingers intertwined as they watched the scenery change from mountain landscapes to familiar city streets.
“How do you think the kids will react when they see you walking around like nothing ever happened?” Irene asked, gently tracing circles on Adam’s palm with her thumb.
“I bet Lucas will lose his mind,” Adam replied with a chuckle. “He’s been asking about playing soccer since day one.”
Thomas glanced at them in the rearview mirror before announcing, “We should be pulling up in about twenty minutes, if
traffic holds.”
“Thanks, Thomas,” Adam nodded.
The familiar neighborhoods started appearing as they drove through the city center, past the shops and parks, into the quieter residential streets, finally turning into the driveway of Irene’s home. The place looked exactly the same, yet somehow different–more firmly established as their family home.
Before Thomas could fully stop the car, the front door burst open with such force it nearly bounced off the wall. Three small figures exploded from the house like they’d been shot from cannons.
“Mom! Dad!” The triplets screamed, their faces pure joy as they raced across the lawn, practically tripping over each other. They crashed into Irene and Adam with enough force to make both adults take a step back.
“We missed you guys so much!” Lily wailed dramatically, wrapping her arms around Irene’s waist and burying her face in
her mother’s sweater.
“Did you eat enough? You look skinnier,” Lucas worried, patting Adam’s face with both hands as if checking to make sure
he was real.
Alex’s jaw dropped as he stared at Adam’s legs. Dad! You’re–you’re standing normally!” His eyes widened to saucers. “Are they really all better?”
Adam grinned and suddenly bent down, scooping Lucas up and spinning him around in a circle. “Better than all better-

“No
way!” Lucas squealed, his laughter echoing across the yard. Does that mean you can kick a ball? And run? And play tag with us?”
You bet! All of it,” Adam answered, setting Lucas down before reaching for an equally excited Lily, who squealed with delight as he lifted her high.
The three children circled Adam like excited puppies, jumping up and down, firing questions from all directions, cheeks flushed red with excitement.
“Our plan totally worked!“, Alex declared proudly, gesturing wildly toward his siblings. “Look at Dad! He’s completely
fixed!”
“We’re absolute geniuses!” the three children shouted together, high–fiving and dancing around like they’d just solved world hunger.
Inside the doorway, Joseph appeared, leaning on his cane with Rose offering support at his elbow. His weathered face
crinkled into a wide smile.
“Well, well,” Joseph called out, his voice strong despite his frail appearance. “Looks like my granddaughter hasn’t lost her
touch. Still working miracles, Lsee.”
He made his way down the steps carefully to embrace Irene, then shook Adam’s hand firmly, “Good to have you both home where you belong.”
Just then, a confident voice boomed from inside: “Hold up–Haven’s not the only miracle case around here! Check this
out!”
Brandon strode through the doorway with exaggerated swagger doing a theatrical twirl that showed off his newly recovered mobility, barely a hint of a limp remaining.
Katherine followed close behind, arms crossed and looking smugly satisfied. “What’d I tell you? My methods get results,
don’t they?”
“They’re certainly… effective,” Brandon admitted, looking at Katherine with an unmistakable gleam in his eyes.
Through the open doorway, Irene spotted Wesley and Emily sitting at the kitchen island, their heads close together as they examined something on a tablet. Their conversation looked intense but comfortable, and they only noticed the commotion
when Rose called their names.
“Irene!” Emily jumped up and rushed over for a hug. “Your research center is absolutely incredible! Wesley showed me around yesterday. The equipment, the staff–I’m dying to start working there!”
