Chapter 92
Dante frowned, looking genuinely puzzled. “You really don’t know?”
Freya’s face stiffened. “What?”
Dante was certain Skylar hadn’t told her family about her real situation.
Since Skylar chose not to mention it herself, Dante thought she must have her reasons. It wasn’t his place to disclose anything,
Dante shook his head slightly. “It’s nothing.”
“Mr. Babin,” Freya said, putting on an air of maturity, “Thank you for your kindness. It’s a shame Skylar couldn’t meet your expectations. She really let you down.”
Dante couldn’t hold back. He blurted out, “You seriously don’t know? She’s the champion of the National Cybersecurity Competition.”
Freya scoffed, clearly unimpressed. “It’s just some award. What’s the big deal?”
Freya wondered, ‘Are there any professors at Quante University who aren’t super accomplished?
‘Skylar thinks she can become a professor at Quante University with just one award? What a pipe dream.’
“You…” Dante choked out, his chest tightening with fury.
Freya continued her tirade, “Mr. Babin, why are you so insistent on making my good–for–nothing sister a professor?
“After all, this is Quante University, not your personal playground.
“Mr. Babin, I know you and Skylar are close, but surely you can’t abuse your position like this. It won’t be good for either of you.”
Skylar frowned in displeasure, “Freya, your imagination is running wild.”
If it were just about her, Skylar wouldn’t be furious.
Freya just had to blurt that out in front of Dante. Was she trying to get herself kicked out of Quante University?
Dante was so enraged by her words that he started coughing violently. He sputtered, “You… You… You…
“What nonsense are you spewing?”
Just now, Dante held back from embarrassing Freya out of respect for her being Tucker’s student.
He’d already held back, but she just wouldn’t quit with those nasty comments.
Dante snapped, “You’re average. Why are you jealous of those who do better?
“That mediocre award you just mentioned carries far more weight than you could possibly comprehend.”
“She’s won more than just this one award. Since she chose not to tell you, I respected her privacy. But now… ” Dante sneered, “I see no reason to spare your fragile ego anymore.”
Dante said, “She’s won first place in every single top–tier computer competition out there.
“Her computer skills are even better than the top experts at the Department of Defense.
“It’s a real blessing for us to have someone of her caliber as our teacher.

Dante’s impression of Freya had sunk to the lowest point. He snapped, “With such scrambler brains, how could you possibly conduct proper researchi
“Tucker, you’d better find yourself a new student soon, unless you want to be dragged down by all the gossip and rumors later.
Tucker shot Freya an exasperated look. “Freya, get over here and apologize to Mr. Babin now.”
Freya grudgingly lowered her head and muttered an apology to them.
