Skylar glared at Elianna and snapped, “You even hurt a baby? Elianna, you are so horrifying.”

Elianna couldn’t care less, deliberately twisting the knife. “Are you angry? Just mentioning your dead bastard kid makes you angry?

“Skylar, it’s because of a mother like you that he never even got to see the light of day.”

Skylar suddenly grabbed Elianna by the throat and snarled, “That’s enough, Elianna. One more word about him, and I swear I’ll end you.”

Elianna glared at Skylar, her eyes wild, and burst into crazy laughter. When she finally calmed down, she croaked, “Go ahead and touch me. I’ll scatter your kid’s ashes in the wind.”

Skylar tightened her grip, cutting off Elianna’s air supply. Elianna gasped desperately, her eyes rolling back until only the whites showed.

Elianna was too weak to resist, her face twisted in agony. Just when she thought Skylar would strangle her to death, Skylar abruptly released her grip.

She collapsed to the ground like a pile of mud, completely limp.

She clutched her neck, bruised and purple, gasping for breath and coughing violently.

Skylar shot her a look of utter disgust and spat, “Killing you would only dirty my hands.”

Skylar lunged forward, grabbed Elianna’s chin as she tried to squirm away, and yanked her face close. “You’ll pay for what you did to my child. I’ll make you pay back every last thing you owe me.”

She flung Elianna aside in disgust and wiped her hands as if they were dirty. Then she stood tall and sneered down at Elianna.

Elianna’s eyes burned red with fury, her whole body seething with rage. “You bitch. I’ll never forget what you did to me today. Just you wait.”

She struggled to her feet, hastily smoothing her disheveled appearance before storming out of the police station, her head held high.

After receiving Elianna’s message, Yosef wrapped up his work and headed straight to the set.

Elianna lay weakly on the bed, her voice barely a whisper. “Yosef, you’re finally here. Any later and I’d have been bullied to death.”

Yosef sat on the chair by the bed, frowning slightly, “What happened?”

Elianna sniffled, “Skylar must’ve gotten into something up in the mountains that made a wild boar go crazy and chase her all the way down. And now she has the nerve to accuse me of drugging her.“.

Elianna wiped away her tears, her voice trembling. “I don’t know anything about medicine. How could I possibly drug her? I know she has it out for me, but framing me like this is just too much.

“This whole mess has cost me so many followers. Everyone online is tearing into me. I don’t know how much more I can take.”

Yosef didn’t fully buy her story.

Before arriving, Yosef had already seen the viral video circulating online.

The video clearly showed Elianna barging into Skylar’s thatched hut for no apparent reason, rummaging around inside.

Yosef’s eyes narrowed. “Then why were you in their hut?”

Elianna sobbed, “I only went there because wanted to get something back from Skylar. I knew she’d never give it to me, so I had to sneak in. Who knew I’d walk right into them catching the person who hurt them?”

With her eyes puffy from crying, Elianna whimpered, “Yosef, what should I do?”
