Freya couldn’t stand the sight of Skylar. Wanting to get away from her, she went back to school.

She made excuses to her family, claiming her studies were too demanding to come home daily, so she stayed at a hotel instead. This way, she could avoid Skylar completely.

Skylar knew exactly why Freya was staying elsewhere, but she couldn’t care less.

Her top priority now was her business orders.

An overseas company reached out to Skylar, expressing interest in acting as an agent to distribute her company’s products internationally.

Their lead negotiator would be flying in within a few days to discuss the details of the partnership.

Skylar assembled a negotiation team and tasked them with conducting due diligence on the potential partner to gather intelligence.

After all, knowing her counterpart inside out would give her the upper hand in negotiations.

The overseas company also messaged Skylar, explaining that their representative, who was coming to discuss the partnership, had never been here before and hoped she could arrange for someone to pick him up.

To show her high regard for this collaboration, Skylar assigned Alfie Ferguson, who was in charge of negotiations, to personally pick up their representative at the airport.

Alfie waited at the airport with his team, holding up a sign. When he spotted two men walking out, he immediately stepped forward.

He asked in fluent Lunpish, “Excuse me, which one of you is Mr. Brada Fleur?”

Brada took off his glasses, gave Alfie a quick once–over, and replied in somewhat awkward Landishian, “Hello, that’s me.”

He continued in Landishian, “Are you from Phidon, here to pick me up?”

Alfie was surprised to hear him speak Landishian, but quickly nodded and switched languages. “Yes, please come with me,” he said.

He and his team got into the car. First, he took Brada to the pre–booked hotel to drop off his luggage and get settled, then headed with the group to Phidon headquarters.

Skylar and her negotiation team were already waiting in the company conference room.

Brada followed Alfie into the room.

Shang walked over to Skylar and whispered, “Ms. Lambert, this is Mr. Brada Fleur.”

Skylar nodded slightly and greeted him in Lunpish, “Hello, Mr. Fleur. I’m Skylar Lambert.”

Brada stared at Skylar, transfixed, his gaze locked on her.

Skylar slightly furrowed her brows and called out a bit louder, “Mr. Fleur?”

Snapping out of his daze, Brada apologized, “Sorry, Ms. Lambert. I just didn’t expect you to be not only so talented, but also so beautiful in person. I was momentarily captivated.”

“You can speak Landishian, I understand it well,” Brada added.

He explained that after hearing from his exchange student friends how wonderful Landish was, he had always wanted to visit and made great efforts to learn the language years ago.

Skylar smiled faintly and, in a professional tone, complimented him, “Mr. Fleur, you’re quite handsome”

Brada held her gaze, not blinking. “My pleasure to receive such praise from a lovely lady,” he replied.

“Please, have a seat,” Skylar said with a polite smile, indicating the chair across from her.
