But Leon wasn’t going to give him that chance. He rubbed his fingers together, tilted his head, and said, “Mr. Stone, I don’t have that much time to you’re not interested, I won’t bother you anymore.”
With that, Leon Clark rose abruptly and

David panicked. He rushed to block Leon, saying, “Mr. Clark, don’t go! I agree, I agree, okay?”
It was so rare for someone to be willing to

David would remain the largest shareholder and chairman of the company. Plus, Leon had just said that even after the acquisition, he would still be chairman.
After weighing it all out, David realized he wasn’t really losing anything. He might as well say yes.
He said, “I agree.”
Leon smiled. “Great. I’ll call in the lawyers to draft the contract.”
Both parties‘ lawyers showed up and discussed the contract details.
When David saw that the contract did indeed state he’d remain chairman, he relaxed. After the lawyers gave the all–clear, he signed his name on the document.
Leon signed as well. He couldn’t help but smile as he looked at David.
Holding the signed contract, Leon left and immediately contacted the remaining shareholders, buying up their shares.
Once the acquisitions were complete, he returned to report to Skylar.
Leon reported, “Ms. Lambert, I’ve bought up all the available shares and the acquisition is finalized.”
Skylar flipped through the contract documents and nodded in approval. “Well done.”
She added, “Since David wants to be chairman so badly, let him be a nominal one. I want him to watch with his own eyes as the company he built disappears, and as I step on its ruins to build my own empire.”
Leon chuckled. “He’s definitely going to lose his mind.”
Skylar set the documents down. “In a few days, I’ll attend the Stone Group’s shareholder meeting with you.”
Leon nodded.
Feeling elated after solving the company’s immediate crisis, David had a few drinks and stumbled home drunk.
Rebecca noticed his smile and greeted him with a grin. “Honey, did something good happen today?”
Our company’s problems are solved,” David slurred proudly.
Rebecca was delighted. “Really? That’s great/news.”
As David collapsed onto the couch with a smug grin, Rebecca gently asked, “Honey, should we bring Elianna home?”

In the past, he was always proud when talking about Ellanna. She was beautiful, smart, and the fiancée of the Campbell family be the had or endless bragging rights.
But now, her scandals had gone viral online, dragging the Stone family name through the mud and almost bankrupting the company
‘Not strangling her is already an act of mercy,‘ David thought coldly.
Rebecca had been hoping to bring her poor daughter home to care for her, now that David was in a good mood. She didn’t expect him to be so heartless

And this is…?”
“Mr. Stone, don’t you recognize me?” Skylar slowly removed her sunglasses and mask.
David’s eyes bulged as he let out a shrill scream, “Skylar? Why is it you?”
ww
“Why not?” Skylar smiled faintly and walked past him, taking the head seat which was originally reserved for Leon.
Fuming, David stormed over and tried to pull her up. “Skylar, get out of that seat! Do you have no manners?”
Leon brushed him off and stepped in front of Skylar to shield her.
She gently patted Leon’s arm, signaling him to move aside. “Looks like you still don’t get it. I’m Leon’s superior, and the acquisition of Stone Group was my call.”
David was dumbfounded. “How is that possible?”
Skylar replied, “Still don’t believe it? Leon, explain it to him.”
Leon replied, “Mr. Stone, allow me to formally introduce you. This is the top leader of Eternal Group, Skylar Lambert.”
Leon’s pride was obvious as he spoke.
“What? No way…” David was stunned. He couldn’t believe that the adopted daughter he once looked down on had now become someone he couldn’t afford to offend.
What crushed him even more was that his survival now depended on her mercy.
Skylar turned to the gathered shareholders. Her voice was cool. “Now that everyone knows who I am, let’s not waste time. Let’s begin the meeting.”
Leon pointed at David’s seat. “Please be seated, Mr. Stone.”
