Chapter 149
As Yana kept thinking about it, tears welled up uncontrollably in her eyes.
Her daughter had truly suffered so much.
Skylar should’ve been a cherished little princess, pampered and protected, but those people had tormented her so cruelly.
Not wanting to make her daughter worry, Yana quietly wiped her tears away as if casually brushing her face.
She forced herself to sound calm. “Sweetheart, what are you thinking now?”
Now that they knew Adam was part of the Lambert family, there was no way they’d give him back to the Campbell family, especially not to Yosef, who treated Skylar harshly.
Skylar said firmly to them, “I want to keep Adam by my side.”
Carlos nodded. “Of course we’re keeping him. He’s a part of our family.”
Yana had already adored Adam and secretly wished he were part of the family. Now that she knew he really was, her heart was full of joy.
But Adam was older now and had his own thoughts, so they had to ask him directly.
Yana reached out her arms and called gently, “Adam, come to Grandma.”
Adam pressed his lips together and walked over hesitantly. “Grandma…”
Yana asked softly, “Adam, would you like to stay with us?”
Adam nodded eagerly. “Yes, I do!”
“Alright.” Yana stroked his hair gently and said, “You can stay with the Lambert family.”
Since Adam wanted to stay, even if the Campbell family came demanding him back, she would never allow it.
Blake had once been cold toward Adam because he was Yosef’s son.,Now, knowing he was his sister’s child, his attitude changed instantly.
He said, “Adam, come to Uncle Blake.”
Adam looked a bit scared.
His uncle’s stern face reminded him too much of how strict his dad could be.
Adam shuffled over hesitantly, “Uncle Blake…”
Blake pinched his cheek.
Adam felt like the flesh on his face was about to be torn off. He whimpered. “Uncle, it hurts…”
Yana immediately stood up and pulled Adam back to her side, looking at the large red mar
his cheek.
She glared at Blake. “Kids have delicate skin! How could you use so much force?”
Blake awkwardly let go and cleared his throat/ “My bad.”
“It’s okay. Don’t cry. Uncle Blake didn’t mean it,” Yana said gently. She called for a maid and told her to bring medicine.
After applying ointment to the red area, Adam calmed down and quickly defended his uncle. “It’s not Uncle Blake’s fault. I’m just too delicate.”

“Aww, our baby is even defending his uncle.” Yana smiled, her tone full of affection.
“Don’t scold Uncle Blake, Grandma.” Adam blinked his big eyes.
