Mabel shot Robin a look full of contempt and signaled to the four Hunderra's guards. "Why are you standing still? Go find out who they are—right now!"
The guards pointed at Robin. "Get up! Are you deaf?"
Kobe slammed the table and moved protectively in front of Robin. "What are you doing? Step back and apologize to Mr. Ramsey!"
The guards glanced at Kobe and snorted. "You're just the chief of security at Gyro Castle. Don't get in our way!"
Kobe knew his rank meant little.
If it weren't for Robin's status, Kobe wouldn't dare speak up.
Mabel clearly didn't realize Robin's true power.
Even the four guardians of the Black Faith Order treated him with respect. Compared to that, Hunderra was nothing.
Kobe didn't move, his expression calm even as he faced four Peak Warriors from Hunderra. A strong energy burst out from him.
It was going to be a battle between Peak Warriors.
The crowd quickly backed away.
When five Peak Warriors fought, anything nearby would be destroyed.
Mabel narrowed her eyes and snapped, "Kobe, do you even realize what you're doing?
"You're just a junior guard chief under Hunderra. How dare you go against your superior! Are you trying to disrespect the duke?
"And remember—this is Young Lord Fairfax's breakthrough celebration. If you cause a scene here, the Black Faith Order won't let you off!"
Kobe got the message loud and clear.
If Robin didn't have the status he did, Kobe would already be done for.
"Ms. Lovett, you let them disrespect Mr. Ramsey without checking the truth.
"Have you thought about what kind of trouble that could bring—for you and Hunderra?"
Mabel's face twisted with anger. "Who do you think you are to lecture me? Stay in your place!"
Kobe held back his frustration and gave a bitter smile. "I know I'm not someone important and shouldn't be talking to you like this.
"I just hope you don't let a reckless moment turn into something that can't be fixed.
"If it goes too far, it won't just be your problem—Lord Lovett and Lord Fairfax could also get dragged into it!"
"Enough!" Mabel snapped at Kobe, jabbing a finger at him.
"Hunderra's guards are doing their job. If you step in again, you'll get punished as well!
"I don't care who these two are—we're getting answers today!"
Ryleigh was speechless.
It was only a small misunderstanding. But Mabel, spoiled as ever, had to blow it out of proportion.
If Robin hadn't been from Gyro Castle, Ryleigh wouldn't even bother arguing with Mabel.
Maybe it was time Robin gave Mabel a taste of reality.
She needed to learn that not everyone would put up with her attitude.
Ryleigh had heard plenty from her brother and father about Robin, especially his strength and background.
Compared to him, Hunderra was nothing. If Mabel kept acting like that, today's event might end in disaster.
"Mabel, you've got it all wrong about Mr. Ramsey. Please stop."
Before Mabel could speak, Lucian, clearly jealous, stepped up. "Ryleigh, don't let that guy fool you.
"He's brushed Mabel off again and again, and he even had the nerve to fight her for the adamantine dagger!
"He's nobody special—what makes him think he can go against us? Today, we'll show him what real influence looks like in Hunderra!
"If he doesn't say sorry to Ms. Lovett, we're throwing him out!"
Ryleigh sighed. "Mr. Lucian, do you even realize what you're saying?
"If this goes any further, your entire family could be in danger."
