The Deadly Assassin Robin novel Chapter 1331

Robin glared coldly at the infamous Dark Lord, Caym.

In his mind, the Netheris was nothing more than a land teeming with death and destruction.

He still didn't grasp the full truth behind what the Netheris was, but all the fury and grief inside the Divine Drakebane came from these parasites.

If he wanted to save Shirley, he'd have to wipe out the Dark Syndicate completely and destroy every corrupted soul hiding within the Netheris.

"Mr. Drakebane, what's running through that mind of yours?"

On the video call, Caym's face was hidden by thick black smoke under his hood. "Ah, I almost forgot!

"You've been battling all over the place lately, and you probably haven't seen your beloved fiancée for a long time.

"I get it, Mr. Drakebane. You must be worried sick.

"Our noble Dark Syndicate has always respected true love. You and Ms. Dunn—such a lovely couple! Haha ...

"Even though I'm past the age of romance, I must say, the bond between you two is admirable.

"You truly have my sincere blessings.

Caym paused when he noticed the intense rage burning in Robin's eyes, but he just chuckled. "Mr. Drakebane, I assure you—I've never meant you any harm.

"Maybe the way we brought Ms. Dunn and her family wasn't exactly proper.

"Mr. Drakebane, think of it like an unexpected trip—just a quick stopover to say hello.

"You and I could get along well. After all, we both belong to a higher class of people in this world.

"Only those with real power earn the respect of other strong ones.

"This endless universe gave birth to all kinds of life, each following its own path.

"The strong thrive while the weak fall behind—that's the way it's always been.

"So don't hold it against me.

"We simply want to reclaim what belongs to the Netheris. It's vital to the Dark Syndicate.

"Just as Ms. Dunn is irreplaceable to you, the ancient relic is priceless to us.

"Believe me, she's being treated with respect. No one dares hurt her."

"Give me back the ancient relic, and you both will be treated like royalty here."

"Enough!" Robin held back the fury raging inside him. "Let me talk to Shirley!"

Caym raised his arms. "As you wish, Mr. Drakebane. I'll honor your request."

Suddenly, a woman with white hair appeared on the screen.

Robin froze, unable to breathe.

It felt like someone had stabbed him straight through the heart.

"Shirley ... is that you?" His voice cracked.

Even someone as powerful as the Divine Drakebane couldn't hide the pain in his heart as he watched his beloved woman's hair turn white for the second time.

He could only imagine how devastated she was when Eithan and Kimberly told her to cancel the wedding. It must've broken her completely.

"I'm sorry, Robin. I've caused you trouble again." Her eyes were brimming with tears, but her voice held warmth.

She now knew that the man she loved had never abandoned her.

That one soft apology, spoken from the Netheris Island, nearly shattered Robin's spirit.

This foolish, gentle woman still thought everything was her fault. She didn't complain once.

Outside Mount Geneva Villa, a wave of emotion swept through the wedding crowd.

The guests, all moved to the core, watched silently.

A woman like Shirley—smart, beautiful, and kind—is a rare gift to the world.

Their existence makes life shine brighter.

No wonder invincible Divine Drakebane was never swayed by anyone else.
