A chilling wind howled at the cave entrance, cutting through the deathly silence.
The ones who arrived were Eighteen Golden Armor Knights from the Dark Syndicate.
Twenty years ago, Dark Syndicate's Eighteen Golden Armor Knights had dominated Ugosea, their reputation standing on par with the Four Warlords.
They were the Dark Syndicate's most loyal warrior-guards.
They served under the Four Warlord Gladiators, a division of Dark Syndicate, and were among its most elite forces.
After the Dragon Manor massacre, they vanished along with Dark Syndicate and The Four Warlord Gladiators, disappearing without a trace from the World of Darkness.
Now, they had reemerged under the Snow Dragon Pool, seeking the ancient relic and the Golden Dragon Pendant.
The Eighteen Golden Armor Knights held their breath, carefully observing for a while before confirming that someone inside the cave was still alive.
The legendary white dragon was among them!
Their leader, Marius Marcos, spoke in a low voice, "Stay cautious, everyone. The man inside should be Divine Drakebane.
"Surviving such devastating destruction ... It's truly a miracle."
One of the knights, Barrick Burke, scoffed and pointed at Robin, whose clothes were in tatters. "Colonel Marcos, it looks like he's already gravely injured.
"We received information that before Divine Drakebane fell to the bottom of the pool, he was riddled with bullets by Captain Dermont of the Panacea Ocean Warriors Alliance—18 shots in total!
"Even if he's somehow still alive, he's in no condition to fight.
"I'm confident I can take him out with just a fraction of my power."
Hearing this, the Golden Armor Knights let out a long breath of relief.
But Marius shook his head. "No, it won't be that simple.
"Divine Drakebane is no ordinary man. I watched the recording of his fight in Sakurania—it was an incredible Pinnacle Battle.
"Even if we joined forces, we wouldn't stand a chance against that level of strength.
"Divine Drakebane may be badly injured, but the white dragon is still by his side.
"They seem to share a strong bond."
Barrick scoffed. "Colonel, take a closer look—the white dragon is gravely injured too.
"I'll go finish them off right now. I can already see the ancient relic and the Golden Dragon Pendant calling out to me. Hahaha ... "
The Golden Armor Knights burst into laughter, nodding in agreement.
To them, Barrick was absolutely right.
Divine Drakebane was just someone who had risen to fame in recent years—an era lacking super martial arts masters.
No matter how powerful he was, he could never compare to the martial art masters of 20 years ago, when the world was filled with masters.
And now, he was gravely injured.
If he still had any strength left, he would have already left this place to take revenge on those who launched missiles at Snow Valley.
Twenty years ago, the Eighteen Golden Armor Knights of Dark Syndicate dominated the West.
Each one of them alone was a force to be reckoned with, capable of crushing entire factions.
Had they competed in the Dark List rankings back then ...
Even those so-called top ten martial art masters would have ranked below the Eighteen Golden Armor Knights.
Divine Drakebane? He was nothing!
Just an overconfident rookie who had only been around for four or five years.
Crushing him would be as easy as swatting a fly!
Before Marius could stop him, Barrick gripped his heavy golden sword and strode boldly into the cave.
His sharp, hawk-like eyes gleamed with greed as he locked onto the dragon-shaped dagger lying beside Robin.
This was his first battle after 20 years in seclusion.
An exhilarating feeling of returning to the underground world and causing bloodshed with a single sword surged within him.
"Divine Drakebane, hahaha ... " Barrick rolled his thick neck, loosening up. "Be a good boy and hand over your dragon dagger, and I'll make sure you die with some dignity."
