Baird froze, trembling as he watched Robin rise from a pool of blood.
This was the Divine Drakebane resurrected from hell.
At this moment, Robin exuded an overwhelming aura of slaughter.
The icy dragon-slaying dagger, soaked in dragon blood, was slowly coming to life.
As Robin regained consciousness, the ancient mythic beast's power within the dagger surged forth!
The blade, already stained blood-red, now radiated a fierce and bloodthirsty aura, swearing to vanquish all foes and restore peace.
Truly, the Divine Drakebane had returned.
Robin stood up and turned to face the dying white dragon, touching it with a look of gratitude and pity.
"You won't die!" he assured.
"Just hold on a bit longer. I'll finish Baird and retrieve the essence stone for you."
The white dragon closed its eyes, then opened them again, a spark of surprise flickering through its blood-red gaze.
It watched Robin approach Baird, a sense of warmth and certainty filling it as if it were watching its own child.
With every step Robin took, his blood became more powerful.
After three steps, it felt as if his entire bloodstream surged like monstrous waves.
Robin understood that his blood had absorbed the essence of countless ages.
With every stride Robin took, he seemed to conquer mountains and rivers.
Even Baird, with his 30 years of experience, and Jessiah, the Warlord who had withstood 60 years of challenges, could feel the earth tremble beneath Robin's feet.
As Robin advanced, Baird recoiled in shock, instinctively retreating.
All his confidence, built over 20 years of cunning and manipulation, crumbled in that instant.
In his panic, Baird turned to Jessiah and the three guardians, exclaiming, "The situation is critical! We must put aside our differences and unite to defeat the Divine Drakebane, or we'll all perish here!"
He promised the dragon-slaying dagger to Jessiah if they could defeat Divine Drakebane, revealing he had already consumed the essence stone and would not vie for the dagger.
"Together, after he's gone, we can rule the World of Darkness!"
Jessiah's resolve hardened. "Agreed! He's still weak from his wounds. Together, we can destroy Divine Drakebane!"
There was no going back.
Jessiah, the guardians, and Baird closed in on Robin, encircling him.
With a chilling smirk, Robin aimed the dragon-slaying dagger at Baird and taunted, "For years, you've plotted and killed mercilessly for this power? You're unworthy of it!"
He hissed, "This blade, once drawn, never fails to spill blood. Today, I'll use it to end you slowly, relishing your torment!"
His voice grew colder. "My wrath remains unquenched. From now on, any member of the Dark Night Alliance I encounter will meet their end!"
Baird's eyes twitched nervously. "Perhaps you've misunderstood, Divine Drakebane. Better to settle our feud than let it grow. Let's sit down and discuss this."
"I believe that with enough sincerity from both sides, we can clear up any misunderstandings through communication," Baird said, casting a glance at Jessiah to Robin's left, hinting at a plan to use Jessiah as a distraction for a sneak attack.
Robin's response was a cold laugh. "You've lost any right to negotiate with me. All that remains for you is slaughter. The heavens themselves wouldn't allow me to spare you!" he declared.
