The Deadly Assassin Robin novel Chapter 1176

The four guardians of the Dark Night Alliance quickly formed a tight circle around Robin, trapping him from all sides.

However, what Lonnie hadn't counted on, despite his 40 years of training, was that even his impressive strength couldn't compete with the lightning-fast speed of Divine Drakebane.

In the brief moment when the four guardians launched their attack, aiming to kill Robin, Lonnie felt a faint, nearly imperceptible prick at his throat, like the bite of a mosquito.

His body, which had been ready to spring into action, suddenly dropped like a stone.

No matter how hard he struggled or how much energy he tried to summon, he found himself unable to move.

"You ... " Lonnie's voice was choked with disbelief as Robin appeared before him, like a wisp of smoke.

Before he could utter another word, a fountain of blood erupted from his throat, and he was swallowed by a darkness so deep it seemed to have no end.

The remaining three guardians exchanged glances and, without hesitation, began retreating, trying to escape Robin's relentless assault.

Around them, hundreds of elite assassins from the Dark Night Alliance closed in, eager to overwhelm Robin.

"Trying to run? What do you think you're doing?"

"Now that the dragon dagger is drawn, there's no way you're leaving here alive!"

Amidst the chaos, Robin zeroed in on the three towering figures with his dragon dagger, cutting a bloody trail through the crowd and heading straight for the three guardians.

The three martial arts masters of the Dark Night Alliance stood in disbelief.

Once, they had been feared warriors, unstoppable in the World of Darkness. After 30 years of honing their skills, their martial prowess now seemed insignificant compared to the power of Divine Drakebane.

"Divine Drakebane, don't get too cocky! We've set a trap here! Even if you kill us, you won't walk away from this!"

"If? There's no 'if.' Just die!"

Robin's voice was ice-cold, and sharp as a blade.

With a savage, bloodthirsty cry, the dragon dagger sliced through the throats of the three guardians.

The Golden Dragon, now soaring high above, drank deeply from a feast of blood—more than a dozen super martial arts masters' bloodlines.

What had begun as a battle with great promise, featuring the Four Guardians and Eight Gladiators of Dark Night Alliance, crumbled in an instant beneath the overwhelming power of Divine Drakebane.

Decades of brutal training in Snow Valley, a lifetime of unrivaled martial arts mastery, had barely shown its potential before being snuffed out like a candle in the back garden of the Landorne Hotel.

Even in death, they couldn't grasp the true level of power Robin possessed. Their legendary martial arts skills now seemed laughably weak, mere tricks, compared to this force.

In less than ten minutes, nearly one hundred Dark Night Alliance super martial arts masters had been slain.

With that, the first line of defense set up by Dark Night Alliance leader Baird in Landorne was utterly wiped out by Robin in the blink of an eye.

Gazing down at the carnage in the garden, Robin let out a soft chuckle. He wiped the last of the blood from the dragon dagger and turned to head back inside the Landorne Hotel.

Inside the hotel, Shirley jumped to her feet, rushing to welcome him with an embrace.

"You've been gone so long. Where are your friends? Didn't they come with you?"

Robin gave a faint, emotionless smile, the corners of his lips barely lifting. "They had something urgent to deal with and left early."

He turned his gaze toward Simmond, who stood frozen, his expression stunned.

He hadn't expected Robin to survive the deadly trap and return.

"M-Mr. Ramsey, please, take a seat," Simmond stammered, his voice trembling with panic.

No sooner had Robin sat down than Eira, in a split second, drew a short sword and lunged toward both Robin and Shirley.

Joanna, startled, could hardly comprehend why Eira would attack Robin.

The scene completely caught Simmond off guard. In a panic, he pulled out a small gun, aiming it directly at Eira.

With a swift, almost effortless movement, Robin seized Eira's wrist and twisted it forward.

A loud bang echoed through the room as Simmond pulled the trigger.

The bullet shot past the seat Eira had been sitting in, narrowly missing her. Had Robin not acted quickly to yank Eira out of the way, the bullet would've pierced her skull.

In a smooth motion, Robin grabbed the Blossomfall Blade and struck Eira forcefully between the shoulder blades. Instantly, she crumpled to her knees, coughing up a spray of dark blood.

Joanna and Shirley stared at Eira, horrified. Their stomachs twisted as Eira began to vomit writhing, black worms from her mouth.
