Ciaran immediately called for all Nine Stars security staff to rush to the HR department.
He unhooked his stun baton, aiming it at Robin. "You savage—"
"Kneel!" Robin commanded, his voice icy.
Ciaran's knees buckled painfully, bringing him down in front of Shania. His face twisted in agony.
He fought to rise, but his legs refused to cooperate no matter how hard he struggled.
"W-what did you do to me? Let me go!" he shouted.
Robin sneered. "You're just a clown.
"Instead of gratitude, you bring trouble. You're not even worthy of being called human.
"If you're nothing but trash, why not just disappear? Are you here to make us sick?"
Ciaran's hands flailed as he spat out threats. "You b*stard! The Nine Stars security will be here soon! I'll make you pay—"
"Still mouthing off?" Robin shot a look at Rita. "Break his arms."
With two sharp cracks, Rita snapped Ciaran's arms.
The hall fell into a haunting silence, broken only by Ciaran's tortured screams.
Brighde stood frozen, eyes wide with shock.
In her 40 years, she'd never witnessed such raw brutality.
Osgar, too, was paralyzed, unable to process the reality before him.
Was that the last resort of a crumbling old-money family?
Robin nudged the stun baton with his foot, picked it up, and offered it to Shania.
Shania, who had been in a daze, asked tremblingly, "W-why are you giving this to me?"
"Hold it tightly!" Robin said, his tone sharp. "People like this only understand force."
Shania's hands trembled. "I ... I've never hit anyone before."
"Without strength, you'll never find real peace.
"You stood up for this scum, and look where it got you. It's absurd!"
Before Shania could react, Robin gripped her hand, forcing her to swing the baton down hard on Ciaran's head.
Ciaran's head was smashed. Blood splattered everywhere, creating a horrifying scene.
"Ahhh! Are you trying to kill us? I'll call the police!" Brighde shrieked, fumbling with her phone.
Her hands trembled as she finally dialed the police chief, Eoran.
"Chief Nolani! There's chaos at Nine Stars! Thugs are attacking us—please hurry, or we're done for!"
Everyone in the HR department stood frozen in shock. They instinctively backed away, horrified by the violence unfolding before them.
None of them had ever witnessed anything so brutal.
They were stunned that Shania, who had seemed so beaten down, could fight back with such force.
Some of the staff secretly felt relieved they hadn't humiliated her earlier in the lobby. If they had, they might be the ones lying on the ground, drenched in blood.
However, most people looked at Shania with a mix of fear and pity, thinking it was her final act of desperation.
They were certain that once Eoran and Brighde's husband, Ceallach, arrived, Shania would be finished.
The Coyles had already fallen from grace after crossing Divine Drakebane. Kendrick had died, and Shania was left crippled and stripped of her shares, losing control of Nine Stars.
Rumor had it that she was nothing now, yet here she was, causing trouble again.
