The Billionaire’s Secret Obsession (Grace and Owen) novel Chapter 17

Chapter 17

Soon, the car stopped at the coast.

The waves crashed against the rocks, the salty and humid wind licking the cheeks. After getting off the car, we rented a set of diving

equipment and a yacht, and drove all the way to a place where the water flow was gentle.

On the yacht, Grace was warming up to prevent cramps. She had dived before, so going into the water didn’t put any psychological pressure on her.

The diving instructor quickly instructed, “Pay attention to your breathing, watch your ear pressure balance, and signal me if you have any problems.”

After warming up and double-checking the equipment, Grace was about to enter the water when Eliezer suddenly grabbed her hand.

She looked at her again with wet eyes and said, “Grace, I am a beginner, you have to protect me.”

Grace’s heart softened as she watched.

“Don’t worry, just follow behind me.”

After speaking, Grace held the regulator in her mouth and gracefully entered the water with a beautiful dive.

In the hazy sea, the sound of the tide and waves could not be heard.

I could only hear the sound of my own breath, far away from the hustle and bustle, a moment of peace, really healing.

Occasionally, schools of fish frolicked around the fins, and hermit crabs scurried in panic after being disturbed…

Looking at the little thing, Grace smiled knowingly, turned around, looked at Eliezer, and silently pointed her finger at the hermit crab running crookedly.

He looked along the fingertips.

Under the goggles, the eyes curved with a smile.

The sea water in front of them changed from green to blue. Unconsciously, the two of them dived deeper and deeper, and there was a deep, unfathomable blackness below at an angle.

Dong.

The low, steady, and clear thumping sound, like a heartbeat, came from the depths of darkness, as if lured, Grace gradually approached the dark place.

As she was about to arrive, a sudden force pulled Grace back, jolting her awake. She saw Eliezer’s anxious expression and his persistent efforts to pull her out.

My heart was still pounding with fear as I narrowly escaped death.

You know, the worst thing underwater is this kind of place, with low visibility, easy to get lost, and maybe even unknown risks, such as whirlpools and so on.

She did not struggle, still being pulled away by Eliezer until she realized at that moment that Eliezer’s movements were so skillful and effortless, not at all like a beginner.

The calm sea surface.

Grace suddenly leaped out and flipped onto the yacht. Her face was slightly cold, as if she was suppressing her emotions.

“Grace, are you angry?”

Eliezer’s face emerged from the sea, and he carefully examined Grace’s expression before asking softly.

Grace ignored him and instead turned to the others, saying, “Go back.”

Silent all the way.

Grace changed her diving gear, went out, and sat on a bench outside the lounge, waiting for Eliezer.

The anger has slowly dissipated.

But she still didn’t want to pay much attention to Eliezer. Just then, the phone on the bench vibrated.

She turned her head and saw that it was Eliezer’s phone. Her gaze fell on the screen inadvertently, and the message displayed on it made her suddenly pause.

That was a message sent by Eliezer’s companions.

“Eliezer, did you get Grace?”

“Grace used to love it when you acted pitiful, pretending a little might just get you into her bed…”

Footsteps behind were getting closer.

Eliezer should have come over, but Grace didn’t move. She stared straight at the words above, feeling only difficulty in breathing.

Filled with comments from men disrespecting women, Grace felt a bit nauseous. Previously, she had genuinely thought they were a group of very nice people.

In memory.

Those unruly boys gradually argued and distorted in their minds, gradually fading away.

If Eliezer had respected her enough, his friends wouldn’t have spoken like that. In their eyes, she was just a prey to be talked about.

“Grace, are you still mad at me? What are you looking at…”

Eliezer’s puzzled voice froze at the moment he saw the phone, no one moved, and the suffocating silence fermented in the air.

The messages kept popping up.
