The Billionaire’s Secret Obsession (Grace and Owen) novel Chapter 24

Chapter 24

That day.

Grace said goodbye to Eliezer and didn’t go home. Instead, she went to stay at Wendy’s house, where she had different men picking her up and dropping her off.

Only three days had passed when Owen could no longer contain himself.

That day, the sky was overcast.

Grace went to Wendy’s house as usual. When the car arrived at the door, she saw a tall figure standing at the entrance. He was dressed in a sophisticated and expensive suit, clearly just arrived from the

company.

In the car, Grace’s sneer suddenly rang out.

The bodyguard specially hired in front turned back and said, “Ms. Spencer, do you want me to drive him away?”

Grace shook her head and said, “Don’t worry about him.”

The car slowly passed Owen.

Through the car window, Grace looked up and met Owen’s gaze, deep, affectionate, and filled with hidden pain.

Just one glance.

She then indifferently averted her gaze, and as she walked into the entrance, the damp raindrops mixed with the strong wind fell behind

her.

The door was closed.

All the sounds returned to calm.

In summer, the rain was always fierce, with thunder rumbling. Soon after, torrential rain poured down, and the dampness seeped into the room through the cracks.

Grace stood by the French window, her eyes wandering, gazing at the dark clouds rolling in the sky. Then she looked down and glanced at Owen, who had been waiting in the rain.

Wendy walked up from behind, handing over a glass of red wine, her eyes full of mockery. “What is he doing? Owen is actually waiting in the rain like a fool. Is he going to be like a TV drama and loudly say ‘I was wrong’ later?”

Taking the red wine, Grace took a sip, the rich wine spreading on her lips, but with a hint of bitterness.

She withdrew her gaze and replied lightly with two words: “Perhaps.”

Until late at night.

The silent figure, like a statue, still did not leave. Grace stood for a long time, and finally, she sighed slowly.

The rain filled the field of vision.

Owen couldn’t remember how long he had been standing there, only feeling the rain soaking through his clothes. The raindrops hitting his body felt heavy, each one pounding on his heart.

Only such self-torturous treatment.

He was able to break free from the gnawing longing, he missed Grace, missed her very much.

He knew that Grace had discovered everything he had done.

The men who appeared by her side every day were her punishment, she told herself that she could easily fall into the arms of another man at any time.

Suddenly, a white skirt hem appeared in front of my eyes.

Owen’s eyelashes trembled, he slowly raised his eyes, the first thing he saw was the fingertips holding the umbrella handle, and then, Grace’s elegant and fair face.

The breath suddenly stopped.

He stared at her without blinking, as if in a trance, and after a while, he softly said, “I’m sorry…”

Grace stared at him with an indescribable look.

It was like scrutiny, yet also like boredom, with an indescribable stubbornness.

The atmosphere was very dull.

Owen’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, motionless, allowing her

to scrutinize him, waiting for judgment.

The rain beat on the umbrella.

There was a “rustling” sound as the water dripped from the umbrella and formed a line on the ground.

Suddenly, Grace spoke out: “We have been married for two years, and we have never kissed. You say you have OCD, but I saw you accept Hannah’s kiss. That is a hurdle in my heart that I cannot get over.”
