Chapter 15
“Are you throwing a tantrum?”
The woman across from me sat on the black leather sofa, her collar askew, evidence of the struggle when Grace wanted to leave but was forcibly taken away. Since then, she has been in a state of refusal to communicate.
The room fell into a state of stagnation.
The only sound left was the raindrops tapping on the glass, as it started to rain on the way here.
Seeing Grace looking out the window in silence, Owen felt a little annoyed and pressed his forehead, “Mom has been looking for you. When you’re done playing, let’s go back.”
Just when Owen thought he would only receive silence, suddenly, Grace smiled and slowly uttered a sentence, “Have you signed the divorce agreement?”
There was no response for a long time.
Grace moved slightly and turned to look at him, the pale light reflecting on her face, half bright and half dark, with emotions he couldn’t understand in her eyes.
“If we sign it, we can go and get the divorce certificate.”

Owen never thought about divorce. In his eyes, Grace was a reliable partner.
He came from a good family, had a gentle personality, and was strong in ability. Apart from being somewhat biased in handling one matter with Hannah, he had almost no other flaws.

Heard the question.
Grace’s eyes trembled, and after a long pause, she slowly said, “It is, and it isn’t.”
Indeed, if Hannah had not shown up.

you remember that?”
The room fell silent once again.
Owen closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, there was a hint of ripples in his long cold and silent eyes.
His voice was a little harsh: “Grace, stop messing around.”
In response to him was deathly silence.
This was the first time Owen felt stuck. Grace seemed like an
uncommunicative clam, stubbornly holding onto her determination for divorce and shutting herself off from everyone.
The itinerary that was originally scheduled to leave the next day.
It took a whole three days just because of Grace’s non-cooperation.
He looked at Grace, who was standing by the window taking care of the jasmine flowers, and said in a deep voice, “Jasmines love sunlight, but it’s been raining here continuously, not suitable for planting.”
Grace hesitated for a moment.
He sarcastically replied with a meaningful remark: “They say loving someone is like raising a flower. Even if the environment is not suitable, some people will still manage to raise it well. But there are some people who are unwilling to care for it yet unwilling to let go, watching the flower wither away before their eyes.”
