Chapter 428

Emily read Austin’s intent. After a deliberate pause, she asked, “That blood-throwing spectacle? Your design to humiliate

Calvin?”

Austin’s eyebrow arched, a smirk playing on his lips. “Catastrophically effective. Wouldn’t you say?”

Emily conceded silently. Public shaming was common, but drenching a narcissist in blood on camera? Diabolical. Framing him as a “homewrecking seducer”? A masterstroke few could conceive.

‘But the farce was obvious. Emily thought to herself, ‘What lasting harm could it do?”

Austin caught her skepticism. “We grew up together. The Pierces raised me as his sacrificial pawn. I know every crack in his porcelain psyche.

“That ‘untouchable aristocrat’ act? Pure theater. He sleeps in tailored pajamas,” Austin scoffed. “He even refuses public restrooms, as if bodily functions insulted his divinity.”

Contempt thickened his voice. “Image is his oxygen. At his eighteenth gala, a girl playfully smeared cake on his cheek, thinking it charming. He seized her neck and slammed her face into the tiered monstrosity.

“At school once, stomach cramps left him green-faced, yet he refused public restrooms. He held it in until he got home.” Austin laughed. “The symphony he unleashed in his bathroom? Epic. The stench? Could wilt orchids at thirty paces.

“Afterward, he stormed out, fired the entire staff, and threatened silence. That overreaction etched the shame deeper than any witness could.”

Austin also witnessed it, barely contained laughter threatening to rupture his ribs.

At the time, Calvin tried to exile him too, but Dylan still needed Austin around for his own reasons. That impotent rage fueled years of petty vengeance. He targeted Austin at every opportunity.

Emily knew Austin’s nature. “With such prime material, you didn’t do anything?” she asked.

“You know me.” Austin grinned. “I just recorded the acoustics through the door, hired a ghostwriter to chronicle his ‘heroic endurance and explosive release, and published it anonymously across every forum.”

When he did all that, Austin planted deliberate clues. Young, not yet formidable, he knew Calvin would trace it to him regardless. So he made it blatant. Calvin knew exactly who ruined him, yet powerless. Exquisite.

The same thing happened this time. Calvin knew it was Austin’s doing, but with no evidence to pin it on him, it was enough to unhinge Calvin.
