Chapter 368
Therefore, her friendship with May was just destined to fade away.
Emily could understand all this, but it didn’t mean she could let go so easily.
All she could do was keep herself busy. She hoped it would stop her from thinking about it so much.
Maybe it was fate’s way of keeping her busy, because a couple of days later, Austin showed her a few photos.
The photos were screenshots of Lydia’s Facebook posts, all showing her practice drawings.
Emily knew it wasn’t strange for Lydia to brag about her art, but she felt the stuff Lydia posted looked oddly familiar.
Emily leaned in for a closer look and found those were the exact drawings she had posted online herself.
Seeing her reaction, Austin pulled out one of the photos and said, “Take a look at this one.”
The Facebook post was another one of Lydia showing off her art, but the difference was in the comments section.
Someone had commented: [These look just like the work of that famous artist, Tato. Lydia, don’t tell me that’s you.]
Lydia replied: [I don’t like showing my face online, but everyone in the list is my friend, so I didn’t try to hide it. I hope you guys can keep it a secret for me.]
Emily was left dumbfounded. She thought, ‘Lydia is Tato? That’s ridiculous.’
For a moment, she didn’t know if she should laugh or be furious.
Back in college, Lydia had copied Emily’s artwork and even framed Emily for plagiarism, turning Emily into a total pariah on campus and trashing her name in the art world.
Now, Lydia was pulling the same stunt on Emily all over again.
