I haven't come out of my room since the incident with Theo and Sky. Sky's been trying to get me to come down and eat but I refused everytime. I may have lost some weight, considering I haven't eaten since.
I sigh once again as I look down at the necklace he bought me. The day he told me he loved me. The day he lied to me. They day he betrayed me. I couldn't control the tears that fell from my eyes. I threw the necklace across the room, hoping it would just shatter. I watched as it fell to the ground, silently hoping, but to no avail it didn't break. Part of me was happy, the other part not so much.
I begin to chuckle humorously, thinking back to the time that I thought I knew him, well them. How could I have been so stupid and blind? He probably didn't even really care for me. Just used me as a toy while he tried to complete his mission. I had hoped and begged the Moon Goddess that I had just been dreaming but the morning I woke up I realised it was all true.
Now here I sit with a heavy heart and a growling stomach. I decide to finally stand up and grab myself something to eat. I walk down the stairs, not wanting to make much noise. It was late, everyone should be sleeping at the moment. Or so I thought.
As I walked into the kitchen I noticed a figure on the floor, crying. I immediately rushed over to the person and made them look up. It was Callie. I was so confused as to why she was crying. I sat down next to her and pulled her into my embrace. I ran my hand over her back, comforting her. She continued to cry, and I let her. I didn't know why she was crying but I let her go on. I could tell that she needed it.
"Callie, can you tell me what's wrong?" I ask her softly once I know she's calmed down. I hear soft hiccups coming from her.
"H-He r-rejected m-me I-Izzy!" She said and cried harder. I starred at her in shock then hugged her even tighter, knowing the pain that she's going through at the moment. Why would anyone want to reject Callie?
I didn't say anything afterwards just sat there. Callie had passed out on my shoulder a while a go, but I didn't have the heart to wake her up, instead I just let her sleep. She needed it. Eventually someone came into the kitchen and it was Uncle Scott. He saw us and came over to us. He picked Callie up and carried her to her room. I stood up, stretching my aching muscles. I figured a run would do me good. With that in mind I went upstairs and went to get dressed.
After putting on some clothes I made my way downstairs. Just as I was about to leave I heard Sky's voice call for me. I turned around to face her and I smile sadly. She hadn't taken this well either. There were bags under her eyes and you could see she wasn't eating as well. I'm sure Uncle Kyle is worried sick about her.
Mate!
Callie's POV
Why?
What did I do that made him reject me? Am I ugly? Does he hate my personality? Well, I don't think it's that, we had just met each other. My birthday was supposed to be amazing but in fact it was the worst. That morning I woke up, I was the happiest person alive. My mate laid next to me, me safely wrapped up in his arms, but then he woke up.
