Married at First Sight (Serenity and Zachary) novel Chapter 4576

Chapter 4576
River York was a standout talent in Eaglioncile and the dream man of countless women.
Romina was the vice president of the Lafond Group and the eldest daughter of the Lafond family.
The two were known as business rivals, practically sworn enemies. So if it came out they were secretly married—it would be explosive news. Impossible to ignore.
Romina snapped, “When you delete something from a phone, you have to clear it again from the deleted folder to erase it completely. Did you only delete it once?”
River admitted, “I deleted it from his photo album. I didn’t think that far ahead—I assumed that was enough.”
Romina was speechless. “…No wonder.”
River said, “I’ll check the article now and ask them to take it down.”
Romina scoffed, “What’s the point? People have already seen it. Deleting it won’t undo anything.”
“Then let’s issue a joint statement,” River suggested, more cautious now. “We could say the people in the photo weren’t us—just lookalikes. Or we can admit it was a coincidence and clarify that the kids are my niece and nephew. Which they are, technically.”
Romina didn’t sound happy. “A coincidence? Come on. What’s our relationship? If we weren’t close, why would we look so comfortable together? People aren’t going to buy that.”
River asked, “So what do you want to do? I’m honestly not too worried. It’s not like this will hurt me. As long as we know the truth—that we’re not married and those kids aren’t ours—
it’s fine.”
Romina said flatly, “You go handle it however you want. I don’t care.”
“You clearly care more than you’re letting on,” River noted. “You’re the one angry enough to call first thing in the morning.”
Romina didn’t respond for a moment, then finally said, “Fine. Say it was just a chance meeting. That is what happened. And mention that the little girl wanted me to hold her—that’s why I did.”

She added, “But when you make the statement, don’t mention their names. Not even their nicknames. Just call them your niece and nephew.” This was a public statement to the entire internet.
Protecting the identities of the kids was the top priority.
If the public found out those two were the York family’s heirs, Zachary would kill River.
The media in Wiltspoon had always been curious about Belle and desperate to know what she looked like.
They knew Serenity had given birth to a daughter—the first girl born into the York family in generations—and when Serenity was discharged, Zachary let the press take pictures. But Belle was in his arms, well-hidden. No one got a clear shot.
Since then, the media had tried, but after receiving serious warnings, they backed off.
It would be sheer luck if anyone managed to sneak a look at the York siblings—let alone capture it in a photo.
And River didn’t want to be the one responsible if that ever happened.
