Damian ran the first patrol last night, now it’s Mariano’s turn, and next it’s going to be Levent, they decided it’s best for them to be there the whole time. Mariano has thrown a whole ass tantrum after we got home, after I went along and did the report on our attack.

“Why did you do that?” he says sounding angry, but I don’t get what’s the anger for, he should be thankful that I went, we could get in ass deep troubles for starting a war.

“Because it’s the law,” I answer him.

“You went without me!” he says next.

“I’m the Luna Mariano, I get every right to be there for my pack,” I answer him.

And then came the peace makers to make things even worse, during all of those years we have spent together, I grew up knowing he was my mate, I spent all of my teenager years, adult years, and everything in between, being in love with Mariano, he was there with me for every step of the way. We share everything, we don’t hide stuff from each other, and although I’m very close to Lotus Green, she’s my bestie, and my other half. But Mariano is a part of me, he’s part of everything I do, of every thought I have, and he thinks of me the same, I hoped and knew.

“I’m off baby,” Mariano says, kissing my lips ready to run off

“Be careful,” I begged him, as he left and joined the rest.

I stayed back with the rest of the pack that was having breakfast, Ezra had his breakfast and even cooked Lotus a big plate of pancakes, which she shared with me, as both of our mates were busy for the day, running patrols and sleeping it off

“Levent, I need you to run some drills with the pack, a lot of them could use a refresher on what we are trained to do,” Mariano’s father

order him.

“Of course, alpha,” he says bowing his head a little bit.

He gave Mia a million kiss before going telling her to take care of herself, and finally leaving the house with Noelle in tow, saying she’ll help him with it all.

“What about you Lunas, and girls, don’t you want a quick drill or maybe a self–defence class?” Ezra asks us, giving us a coy smile, he had a look on his face, he was a cute guy, not as cute as my mate, but he’s not bad at all.

“Excuse you, I was taught by the best,” Lotus objects quickly, many years later and that girl favourite hobby going to be forever objecting.

“By whom?” Mateo asks with a raised brow.

“Thalia,” she says with a big smile on her face, Thalia is a teacher back at the academy, a badass wolf that everyone is terrified of most have heard of.

“She’s a badass,” Mateo agrees.

“Mhm, I’m good to go, I just need coffee,” Lotus says pouting herself a giant cup of coffee and then leaving the room to go annoy her sleeping

mate.

“What about you two?” Ezra asks us next.

“I could use a reminder,” Mia says, and if she’s going so am I, she’s pregnant and I need to make sure she takes good care of herself.

“I’m coming as well,” I say, following Mia.

We didn’t need to walk too far away like Levent and the rest did, instead we stayed near the backyard, near the house so in case she gets tired, we’ll get her back inside right away. It was Ezra and Mateo with us while the rest were off with the rest of the patrol running around.

“You’re pregnant the first thing you want to keep safe is your stomach, you could go the old way,” Ezra starts.

“Like this,” Mateo says, laying on the ground, in fetus position holding his knees up to his chest, hiding his stomach.
