I woke up feeling heavier than the night before, somehow I feel like I’m going to give birth to a giant, not a baby, my stomach is so full, I can hardly walk and I’m only six months pregnant, the doctor was doubting twins but all we can see through the ultrasound is one baby and that’s about it, but she said things happens and sometimes we can’t really catch them.

I felt like I was going to explode, I tried my best not to eat too much, not to go heavy on the food, I’m already heavy enough, I don’t need any help in the food department.

“Levent,” I call him, wanting him to come help me up, I swear, he’s gonna need to add a bar for me to get out of bed and off the bathroom stall.

“I’m coming love,” he answers me right away, he came out of the bathroom and helped me up, I groaned, I should have done some more core and back exercises before I got pregnant, this weight, even with all my wolf strength is killing me.

“You okay?” he asks me, as I tried to stand steady on my feet.

“I’m fine love, just trying to find my footing,” I answer him, go toward the bathroom to relieve my full bladder, and then put one some extra big clothing on, nothing fits me anymore, but it’s fine, as long as I give birth to a healthy baby.

“Did we receive any letters?” I ask him, my heart beating quickly, my baby missed his aunt, it’s his favourite aunt, but don’t tell Lotus.

“I’ll go check,” he says, walking toward the door to check.

My sister has been sentenced to the retention facility because she ran away and didn’t report, but that’s my fault, it’s me who was supposed to be sentenced there for the fact that we didn’t report, I was the adult back then, and it’s my responsibility not hers. And next she was accused of killing a wolf using a gun, but hey, I helped her there and I even suggested the gun, but since she pulled the trigger, it’s her fault and not mine.

After she was sentenced, we tried talking to her, I tried calling her, I screamed her name at the top of my lungs, but that only got the judges pissed off at me and asked my mate to shut me up, she on the other hand was dragged away by Captain Brooklyn and her people, she was sobbing. Noelle never cries, let alone sob and shake, but she was doing just that as she walked out, I wanted to run toward her, to hug her and assure her all is fine, but she was taken away from me and I didn’t have a chance to do anything.

“You can’t let them take her,” I cried.

“She’ll be okay, she’s gonna be fine,” Levent assures me, hugging me tight.

“You gotta tell them, you gotta tell them that I was the adult, I didn’t report, I’m the one who sneaked her out of Ronan Vile’s she was just a baby, and the gun, I told her to do it, blame me,” I begged them loud.

“Even if we do tell them all of that Mia, they have made up their mind, they’re not going to listen anymore,” Mariano says.

“Would you allow them to take Lotus?” I ask him, challenging him, would he allow them to take his mate?

“Mimi, if they take Lotus, they’d give her back the next day, she’s a nightmare to deal with and she’s Noelle’s friend, you know she’s just as bad,” he assures me.

We drove back home without Noelle, I kept asking when will I see her again, when they give her back, they can’t keep my sister away from me. No one would answer me, maybe because no one knew, or maybe because they all knew that we can’t see her until the facility thinks she did enough progress and has earned herself a family visit.

After a lot of crying, almost passing out a couple times, we got some news from Noelle, the news said, she has broken their record and has caused troubles during her first hour of stay. Everyone laughed, they all thought it was funny, everyone told me see, she’s okay, she’s fine, she’s causing trouble already.

It took her two weeks to earn the privilege of sending us letters, just a letter each week, and if she causes trouble, the letters won’t be sent and she can’t receive ours. All letters are seen and checked by Captain Brooklyn. She spends two hours each week with her just talking, it’s part of the rehab plan.
