Wolfless, Unbroken Abandoned novel Chapter 10

Heads turned toward the door where a tall figure stepped inside.

Georgia’s eyes widened. “It was you…”

Stanley–the man who had earlier invited Laura to drink–smiled knowingly as he studied the tall man at the doorway and then Georgia.

“Dominic,” Stanley said, “so you know her.”

It was puzzling. How could Dominic know Georgia, a mere cleaner?

Stanley stroked his chin, anticipating the drama.

Preston’s gaze flicked to Dominic

Dominic ignored the stares directed his way and fixed his eyes on Georgia with something unreadable.

He thought to himself, What’s she about to do? Seems like she’s going to kiss Preston’s guard.

A slow smile curled on Dominic’s lips. “I just stepped away for a moment, and already the excitement’s building.”

With hands shoved casually into his pockets, Dominic approached Georgia and asked, “What are you up to?”

Stanley grinned “She made Mr. Hill mad. So he wants her to either drink this bottle of wine or kiss a man in public. We’re just treating this like an encore.”

Dominic nodded, drawing closer with a confident ease.

“Mr. Hill sure knows how to throw a scene. If you want to see a real kiss, why don’t I take the lead this time? I’m no bragger, but if my kissing skills ranked second, no one would dare be first

Before Georgia could protest, Dominic pulled her into his arms.

Warmth spread across her lips as he kissed her.

A rosy fl

flush blossomed across her cheeks.

Dominic hadn’t intended to deepen the kiss, merely a polite press of lips, but Georgia’s allure caught him off guard.

He wanted to linger, to taste more, but suddenly, someone yanked her away.

Dominic’s eyes narrowed in displeasure.

“Preston, give her back.”

Preston’s expression darkened, cold and unyielding.

“She insulted me. No one takes her away before I’m ready.”

Dominic’s eyes met Preston’s with a mix of rivalry and respect. Their packs ruled both enmity and uneasy friendship.

“Hey,” he teased, “was that your first kiss?”

Her blush answered without words.

Unaware of the effect he’d had on her, Dominic was riding a high.

He shot a faint smile at Preston,

“What if I just take her by force?”

Stanley whistled and nudged another man. “Simon, get your phone ready to film this, if we sell it to a magazine, it’ll be

worth a fortune.”

Preston remembered he had already rejected Georgia, that the bond between them had all but dissolved. He believed she’d accepted that rejection.

Yet, inexplicably, rage flared inside him at the sight of Dominic’s kiss.

His cold gaze locked onto Georgia’s lips.

Narrowing his eyes, a dark thought crossed his mind.

Georgia looked away awkwardly, trying to escape his scrutiny. Preston’s intentions were a mystery she couldn’t read.

Suddenly, Preston seized her wrist with iron strength, bending low to lift her onto his shoulder like a sack of grain.

He strode from the room, leaving Dominic, Simon, and Stanley frozen in disbelief.

“Preston, what are you doing?” Dominic shouted, sprinting after them.

Stanley’s mouth hung open, unable to process what he saw.

Laura’s face was pale, her feet rooted to the spot. She knew Georgia was walking into a storm–and it was all because of

Georgia’s head spun. Preston dropped her onto the plush carpet without a shred of mercy.

“You really surprised me today,” Preston continued, voice low and venomous.
