His Unwanted Mate novel Chapter 8

"I just wanted to thank you for letting me stay on your territory," I told Dylan as we ate. He swallowed before answering me.

"It's no problem. It's not every day that some pretty girl just shows up on my territory," he said, winking. I blushed, making him laugh. "No but really, you've been here for almost a year now. I think that it's time that you officially become apart of my pack," Dylan said seriously. I bit my lip, not knowing what to say. I was about to say something when Dylan cut me off. "I mean, we all love you here, and it already feels like you're apart of our pack. You're kind, caring, sweet, beautiful, and smart, and you'd just make an amazing addition to our pack. And-" he rambled, but I cut him off.

"Okay," I said, smiling.

"Okay?" He asked, surprised.

"Yeah, I would love to join your pack," I said. He grinned, getting up and giving me a hug. I stiffened, then relaxed and hugged him back. He released me before speaking.

"Okay, how about you join my pack after the New Years party," he said, still grinning from ear to ear. I laughed, nodding.

"Alright," I said. We finished our food and headed out to his car. Luckily, the snow that had accumulated wasn't that bad. We got back to the pack house rather quickly, and Dylan and I went inside. He liked living in the pack house since his parents had died and he had no one to live with him in his house. It makes sense, since he could be around everyone in the pack house instead of being alone in his house.

It was pretty late, so we both headed upstairs to our rooms. Dylan helped bring Kylie's gifts upstairs into my room, and I quickly hid them. He walked to my bedroom door and turned.

"Night, Eden," he said.

"Night, Dylan," I replied as he left, closing my door behind him. I got up and headed to the bathroom. I took a nice, long bath. I placed bath bombs inside and let the aromas waft into the air.

After about and hour, I got out and quickly dried off before changing into my red baby doll style pajamas. I crawled into bed, exhausted. I turned off the lights, and I was soon lulled to sleep from the relaxing silence.

"Ahh! I can't believe that it's already Christmas Eve!" Kylie squealed as she barged into my room, making me laugh.

"It's been less than thirty minutes!" I said. She just shrugged. The two little girls looked back and forth between Kylie and I as we spoke. They both giggled, drawing our attention to them. I crouched down so that I was at their height. They were obviously twins, considering that they looked basically exactly like each other except for their eyes. They both had long straight black hair, cute little noses, and light pink bow shaped lips. The only difference was that one had green eyes and the other had blue ones. I smiled at both of them, and they both gave me toothy grins.

"Hi, what's your names?" I asked them both. The one with blue eyes spoke.

"I'm Sapphire, and this is my twin sister, Jade," she said. 'Huh, that's easy enough to remember,' I thought to myself.

"Those are very pretty names, my name is Eden," I said.

"Thank you, your name is very pretty, too," they said in unison, making Kylie and I laugh.

"How old are you guys?" I asked. They both held up five fingers.
