Catarina’s POV

THAT BITCH!

I was so crazy mad; how dare she take my twin's hostage and my mate. She had tricked her way into this kingdom, thinking she was invincible, but I would show her otherwise. She needed more than just an ass whopping. I wanted to kill her!

First, she stole Lochlan from me, and now she wanted my twins and probably Alex too. It would not surprise me, stupid tart! I was going to end her life once and for all. I needed to be careful, though, as my twins and Alex's life could be at stake. Tara was an unpredictable loon, and she had already tricked us all.

I told Alex she couldn’t be trusted, but he was too kind-natured and felt sorry for her. I couldn’t blame him since she knew how to put on a good act. But all this for Lochlan? Was he worth all this trouble? No, he wasn’t.

I observed the monitors and saw that Alex and the twins were leaving the room along with Mindy and that witch. I had no idea where they would be going, but over my dead body, was she going to hurt any of them?

It wasn't enough for me to give her a good beating. No, I wanted to end her life. She had crossed the line one too many times, stealing Lochlan from me, making me walk away from everyone and everything I had loved, and now threatening my family. That stupid tart thought she could get away with it, but she had another thing coming.

I couldn't afford to waste any time. My mind raced, searching for a solution that would ensure the downfall of Tara and keep my loved ones safe.

As I whispered to myself, "You won't get away with this, Tara. I will make sure of it," a surge of determination coursed through me. I was ready to face whatever came my way, to dismantle Tara's web of deceit and bring her reign of terror to an end. No obstacle would deter me from my mission.

Suddenly I fell to the floor with a huge thud and opened my eyes to see a figure standing before me.

Carl!

"So, you thought you could knock me out and run away, right? Well, well. It looks like you haven't got your precious King to save you this time."

I needed to get away from him, and I needed to find my twins and my king.

But their Carl stood, blocking my path, a wicked smile curling upon his lips.

"What's the matter, Catarina? Surprised to see me? You think you can try and take me out and expect to walk away unscathed?" Carl taunted, his voice dripping with malice.

I scrambled to my feet, my mind racing for a way to escape this predicament. I couldn't let Carl stop me, not when my family's lives were hanging in the balance.

"You won't stand in my way, Carl. I'll do whatever it takes to protect my loved ones from you and that freak, Tara," I spat, my voice laced with determination.

Carl smirked, taking a step closer. "You're just a naive fool, Catarina—just as pathetic as silly Alex. Do you think love and determination will be enough to defeat Tara and her plans? You're sorely mistaken."

Finally, with a surge of adrenaline, I managed to overpower her. As I pinned her down, my hands around her throat, the rage within me was unleashed.

"You thought you could tear my life apart, but you underestimated my strength," I hissed through gritted teeth.

Carl tried to pull me off Tara, but I kicked him in the face with my foot and sent his ass flying across the hall.

"Get off me, you stupid bitch." Tara yelled.

But I was relentless, fuelled by love and a fierce desire to save my family. I fought with everything I had, refusing to yield, refusing to let Tara win.

Finally, with a surge of adrenaline, I managed to overpower her. As I pinned her down, my hands around her throat, the rage within me was unleashed. She tried to kick me out with her arms and legs, but I was stronger than her.

"You thought you could tear my life apart, but you underestimated my strength," I hissed through gritted teeth.

"Catarina. Let her go!"
