Hiding His Alpha Twins novel Chapter 56

Lochlan’s POV

"Keep your filthy mitts off of my Queen and if anyone dares to harm a hair on their bodies then they will have me to answer to." Alex roared as he pulled Catarina, Mindy and the twins behind him, his eyes ablaze with fury and anger.

"Mindy. I apologise for assuming you had anything to do with this bizarre situation. Lochlan perhaps you should deal with your Beta before my guards end his life here and now."

I watched as Alex’s men stood by keeping my every move in their sight as if they thought that I would suddenly command my own men to lunge out at the King.

No, I wanted peace. I wanted to be a better alpha than I had been. All these members of my own pack looked up to me all this time that I had been their Alpha.

David would not be able to take that away from me.

"Enough. Pack. Listen up. I am your alpha. We are not at war with King Alex or Queen Catarina. What's done is done! My word is final. Now restrain this traitor Beta David at once!" I ordered pointing at my pathetic excuse of a beta.

"What? No. You can't do that. You abandoned your pack to look for that unworthy bitch who betrayed you and took away the packs chance to see their alpha’s heirs growing up." the colour drained from his face as he attempted to save himself, but it was too late for that.

I stood tall, my chest puffed out and my eyes hardened with authority. The command was given, and I expected immediate compliance. The air crackled with tension as my own pack members moved into action. Their movements were fluid and disciplined, a testament to the strong bond we shared.

But then there was him, the one who should have stood by my side, the beta. His cowardice oozed from every pore, and I could feel the resentment building within me. How could someone so weak and spineless ever aspire to hold a position of authority?

I watched as my pack surrounded him, their eyes filled with loyalty and fierce determination. They were my warriors, my family, and I had earned their respect through countless trials and triumphs. I basked in the knowledge that they would follow my lead, even if it meant going against their own instincts.

Taking a step forward, I raised my hand, signalling for them to hold their positions. David was pinned down, glared at me with wild rage, his eyes burning with a fire that matched my own. But he was no match for the strength and unity of my pack.

I could almost taste his betrayal, his inability to grasp the essence of true leadership. How had I ever trusted him to be my second-in-command?

I let out a low growl, the sound reverberating. It was a warning, a reminder that I held the power within this pack. I was the Alpha, the one to be revered and feared, and not even the weak link of a beta could shake my resolve.

As my pack members restrained him, I finally allowed myself a small smirk. Order was restored, and my authority remained unchallenged. I would not let anyone, especially not my beta, tarnish my reputation as a strong and dominant leader.
