Hiding His Alpha Twins novel Chapter 44

Tara’s POV

Ever since that day, Catarina became lochans Luna, and I always wondered why she was so special. Growing up, we were close like sisters, but she was boring. She wanted to save herself for her mate, and Lachlan was far too exciting for someone like Catarina. I always believed that I and Lochlan were destined to be mates. I was so excited when he finally gave in and slept with me. He was just too stubborn to make me his Luna, too infatuated with that muppet mate of his. Nobody in our pack knew about my witch side. My father claimed not to know about my mother's whereabouts hence why my witch side was never spoken of until after Catarina left. But once Catarina left, everything changed.

Suddenly, she was no longer the plain and dull girl I had known growing up. She transformed into this radiant and captivating Luna, commanding respect and admiration from everyone around her. It was like she had unlocked some hidden power within herself. I couldn't help but feel jealousy and confusion. How did Catarina become this extraordinary woman while I remained stuck in the shadow of her newfound glory? It didn't make sense. We were supposed to be equals, two peas in a pod. But now, it seemed like she had surpassed me in every possible way. As time passed, I watched Catarina effortlessly fulfil her duties as Luna, bringing unity and prosperity to our pack. And yet, I couldn't shake the feeling that it should have been me in her place. Lochlan should have chosen me, not her. After all, we had a history together, a deep connection. But he had chosen her, and I felt bitter and resentful.

My powers as a witch remained a secret to everyone, even Lochlan. I used them to my advantage, manipulating situations and people to try and regain what I believed was rightfully mine. But no matter what spells I cast or tricks I played; Catarina seemed untouchable. She had this aura of authenticity and grace that couldn't be replicated. No one suspected the envy within me, as I put on a facade of loyalty and camaraderie. I smiled and congratulated Catarina on her accomplishments, all the while aching for the power and recognition she now possessed. Deep down, I knew I would never be able to take her place, no matter how much I desired it. And so, I watched from the sidelines, bitterness festering within me. I resented Catarina for stealing the life I had always believed was meant for me. But as much as I tried to deny it, a part of me also admired her strength and resilience. She had risen above her insecurities and dared to become more than anyone expected. So now I find myself locked in a room surrounded by guards who will protect me at all costs knowing that I carry the child of their Alpha Lochlan.

It was so easy to get in here. My magic was too powerful for these idiots. They were all a bunch of stupid fools.

I hoped that David had found that stupid Catarina. We had to work quickly to get Lochlan freed and out of there. My plan had worked so well so far, and I would not let it fail now. Lochlan would be so pleased with me for getting him out of here, and he would make me his Luna then.

"What do you want from us, Tara?" Alex demanded to know as the Twins sat innocently at the table, drawing pictures and not taking any notice of the situation around them.

I raised an eyebrow and then let out a small chuckle. "That's what you think, but just know that I will always win in the end. Your kingdom is useless to you right now since it has been completely taken over by me and my pack. So, perhaps ending the life of one of these twins will persuade you to do the right thing and release Lochlan."

I watched his anger simmer beneath the surface, his grip tightening on his clenched fists.

"You want him; feel free to have him." Alex spat. "Nothing, and nobody will touch those twins." he lowered his voice, and I glanced over at them, a sickly smile on my lips.
