Hiding His Alpha Twins novel Chapter 26

Catarina’s POV

I was so relieved to see that the twins were safe and well. I had panicked and thought the worst-case scenario. Alex had assured me that everything was ok, Lochlan would not have been able to get his filthy mits on my babies since he was locked up. I wasn’t sure what would happen to him but frankly I did not care about him either. He had betrayed me, and I never wanted him to lay eyes on those beautiful, perfect little twins of mine. I wasn’t going to share them with Lochlan. Why should I? We had been through so much, the three of us. When Alex came into our lives it was a gift from the moon goddess. She had blessed me. I would be forever in her debt for that.

As I held my precious twins close, relief flooded over me like a cleansing wave. They were safe, unharmed by the chaos that had unfolded. The weight of worry that had settled on my shoulders lifted, replaced by a profound sense of gratitude. Alex's reassurances were like balm to my soul, soothing my fears and restoring a sense of calm.

The memory of Lochlan's betrayal seared through my thoughts, igniting a fierce protectiveness over my children. He had proven himself unworthy of their presence, unworthy of their love. I would never allow him to lay eyes on them, to taint their innocent lives with his darkness. They were mine, gifts bestowed upon me by the moon goddess herself, and I would shield them from any harm.

The bond I shared with my twins was sacred, forged through countless trials and tribulations. Together, the three of us had weathered storms, emerged stronger, and built a love that was unbreakable. Our lives had been transformed when Alex entered our world, a serendipitous encounter that felt like a divine intervention. The moon goddess had blessed us, and I was forever indebted to her for bringing Alex into our lives.

In our little family, happiness blossomed like wildflowers in a meadow. The twins filled our days with laughter, their innocence and wonder a constant source of joy. They were the embodiment of love and hope, the light that had guided us through our darkest days. No darkness, no betrayal, could ever quell the overwhelming love I felt for them.

As I cradled my babies in my arms, their wide eyes, I vowed to protect them from the world's cruelty and preserve their innocence. The bond we shared was unbreakable, forged through love, trust, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being. Lochlan's chapter in our lives had come to an end, and though I couldn't erase the pain he had caused, I refused to let him tarnish the beauty and purity that my children embodied.

In the embrace of my little family, I found solace and strength. As I gazed into their innocent eyes, I vowed to be the mother they deserved, to nurture and guide them through life's challenges. The love I felt for them was immeasurable, a force that fuelled my every action and decision.

"Thank you, Mindy and Cherry, for seeing to the twins this morning. I am so grateful and sorry about my panic. I was so worried about them." I gazed down at my twins and stoked their faces happily.

"Oh, madam. It’s no problem. They are such lovely little cherubs that keep us on our toes. It is a lovely sound to have them filling the castle with their laughter." Mindy gushed and I chuckled. It was nice to hear such good things about my twins. They certainly deserved the world.

"Right then, shall we get ready for our picnic in the forest today?" Alex came in with a huge grin on his face as the twins threw their arms in the air and chanted "Picnic. Picnic."

He kissed me softly. "Anything for my family," he said. "Now, pack your bags. We're going on an adventure."

"Let’s go and get your stuff together." Mindy beamed at the twins, and they hurried off together leaving me and Alex standing in the kitchen alone.

"Thank you, Alex for everything. I’m so lucky to have you." I could not help but feel so grateful and lucky.

"I’m the lucky one." Alex laughed and kissed me on the lips. "Now off you go to pack and relax before we head off later today. Firstly, I have a few things I need to attend to, so I will see you shortly my darling." He said and I smiled as I skipped off full of excitement.

This unexpected getaway was just what we needed a chance to bond as a family and create beautiful memories together. Just the four of us.
