Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1732

Though the children of the Jensen family all had shares in the company, Hank, still attending university, wouldn't receive his dividend payouts for now.

He and the other kids like Scott currently only had pocket money given to them by the family each month.

After deducting the three million dollars Hank had paid for the pendant's custom-made fee and the costs for the emerald stone, his remaining pocket money was only a few million at most.

As Shannon had suspected, Hank was indeed running out of money.

Since the month before last, he had been using various methods to squeeze money out of Alex.

After his parents' divorce, Hank hadn't had many opportunities to spend large sums of money. Rather than letting him squander it on indulgences, Alex had decided it was better to spend it on his son.

At that moment, Hank had also come over to Benjamin's residence. Seeing the Stone Turtle in the latter's hand, he shouted, "That's mine! How did it get into your hands?"

As he spoke, he extended his hand, ready to grab it, but the originally motionless Stone Turtle on Benjamin's palm suddenly moved.

Its emerald body shifted direction, and its tail sharply pressed against Hank's palm, clearly signaling its refusal to be taken away.

Benjamin looked at Hank. "The Stone Turtle spirit inside the pendant is an old acquaintance of mine. If you don't mind, I'd like to keep it here temporarily."

Naturally, Hank's instinctive reaction was to say no. He was the caretaker of the Stone Turtle, and there was no reason for him to leave him there.

Still, he wasn't foolish.

Whether it was Shannon's initial reaction or the way the Stone Turtle was now positioned in Benjamin's palm, Hank had already guessed that its recent "strange behavior" was likely caused by Benjamin.

Its previous "runaways" were probably all attempts to find him, too.

If one were to wait in line properly, the opportunity would likely pass by the time approval was granted.

So, Shannon bypassed the usual process by using internal connections and received approval the very same day.

While she was busy arranging their accommodation, Hector didn't leave Benjamin's place. Instead, he had a suspicion since finding him home.

"You heard everything she said earlier, right?" Without waiting for Benjamin's response, he smiled and added, "I know you have incredible senses. You don't have to deny it."

Even if he had been inside the house at that time, Benjamin would have certainly heard what Shannon and the others were saying.

Of course, he had no intention of denying it. With his status, he never needed to deny anything. In fact, he never owed anyone an explanation either.

But for Hector, his "best friend", Benjamin still gave a genuine reply.
