Shannon swept her gaze across the Black Stone Turtles, which eagerly eyed them. After exchanging a look with Benjamin, she said coldly, "Then, according to that, I can also kill them in the dream."
Atlas laughed. "You can try."
"You know what? I will." She gathered her supernatural power with her palm and struck an attacking stance.
At that moment, Benjamin pointed at the Black Stone Turtle behind them and instructed the Stone Turtle, "Hit it!"
The Stone Turtle reacted without hesitation, charging forward like a landslide, its massive body crashing straight into the Black Stone Turtle. Seizing the opening, Shannon grabbed Benjamin and quickly pulled him through the gap.
"Run, Stone Turtle!"
The Stone Turtle was just ready to fight, but upon hearing her, it quickly rushed out and followed behind them.
The two humans and the turtle soon entered the black smoke. Atlas, who had been ready to witness Shannon's attempt, was caught off guard and cursed, "You spineless child!"
What happened to trying?
Shannon pulled Benjamin along, swiftly moving away on the breeze.
She thought to herself, "What's there to try? Knowing the situation is bad and still pushing forward—I'm not foolish!"
As of then, the most important thing was figuring out how to escape the dreamscape. The best solution was to locate the Dreambeast or… start with Sylvia.
…
At the Jensen residence garden, Skylar watched in shock as Shannon and the black smoke disappeared into Sylvia's body. His expression changed in an instant, and he tried to approach, only to find Sylvia surrounded by a thick haze of black fog.
Without second thoughts, he pulled out a talisman and chanted, "...All will prevail, hear and heed. Now cease to be!"
The talisman shot toward Sylvia's prone form but was quickly blocked by the black smoke. The talisman, enveloped by the smoke, lost its power and fell to the ground.
Unsure of what had just happened, Skylar sensed it couldn't be good. He was about to try to break through the fog when suddenly, the voices of Hector and George coldly rang out from behind.
With a swift motion, he formed a mudra with his hands and began chanting something under his breath.
The next moment, a small red flag appeared at the entrance of the basement, flying straight into his hands.
"Polar of six constellations, heaven and earth in unity; five stars to command, light illuminates the netherworld. Wherever it stands, all gods must heed. Swiftly, as the law decrees!"
With the final command, Skylar poured most of his spiritual energy into the small flag. Then, gripping it tightly, he swung it forcefully toward the direction of the black smoke.
The flag cut through the air like a blade, instantly slicing through the smoke surrounding Sylvia.
The fog lifted, finally revealing her true form. Though her face remained absent, her chest rose and fell with each breath. While the black smoke had dissipated, she was trapped in a deep slumber.
How would they wake her up?
As Skylar pondered with furrowed brows, an emotionless electronic voice pierced through the air. "Let me try."
