Skylar turned around, only to see Zane standing solemnly behind him with a phone in his hand. The former was aware that the latter possessed the great power of words.
If he said anything that benefitted Shannon's situation, he could very much help awaken Sylvia.
Considering that Shannon had made such a request, it indicated that she and Benjamin had experienced an unresolvable trouble in Sylvia's dream.
Skylar should feel relieved that Zane volunteered to help, but…
"No way!" Hank disagreed without hesitation.
All the Jensens knew that every time Zane spoke, it came at the cost of shortening his life. What resided inside Sylvia's body was the Dreambeast's true form.
Who knew how much it would cost to awaken Sylvia from the claws of the Dreambeast?
Neither Hector nor George spoke up. They naturally understood what Skylar had realized. They feared for Shannon's safety but, at the same time, dreaded for Zane to sacrifice himself.
Zane was ready to type his response, but Hank, fearing he might get stubborn, raised his voice to say, "For you to use your power, you must first ensure she can hear you."
He pointed at the unmoving, faceless Sylvia and emphasized, "Look at her now! Can she even hear you?"
Hank knew his words were born of selfishness, but that didn't change the truth.
Pursing his lips, Zane looked at Sylvia on the ground. After a long pause, he put away his phone, lowered his gaze, and no longer responded.
Skylar, too, felt conflicted. After some time, he stated solemnly, "Hank's right. I'll think of a way to awaken Sylvia!"
After all, that was Shannon's private message to him.
He should be the one to resolve the issue.
What she saw made her heart clench. He looked more disheveled than she had ever seen him. Her gaze dropped to his waist, where a deep wound had opened, blood flowing out in a steady stream.
Her eyes instantly filled with tears, her heart tightening as she tried to hold herself together.
Seeing the six Black Stone Turtles charging toward them, the Stone Turtle seemed to sense the scent of blood. It quickly rushed over, positioning itself in front of the two.
With a mighty roar that seemed to shake the very earth, it unleashed a sound that reverberated through the air, stunning the six Black Stone Turtles in place.
Atlas watched from afar, his voice cold and indifferent. "Within the dream, under the rules, even the ancient legendary beasts are not to be feared. All of you, squeeze them under your feet!"
The eight Black Stone Turtles, hearing the command, once again revealed their fierce eyes and charged toward the trio.
The Stone Turtle stood firm, blocking the path, while behind it, Shannon gently set Benjamin down before slowly rising to her feet. Her supernatural energy rippled wildly around her, an unstable storm of power.
