Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1490

Shannon and the group headed toward their accommodation prepared in advance by Benjamin. It was the same villa they had stayed at when tracking down the Unmelting Bone in Arenvale.

It was Skylar and Zane's first time coming here, so they didn't have much feelings about the place. They quickly chose a room and went to rest, leaving Shannon and Benjamin alone.

She looked at him and asked, "Did you buy this villa?"

Benjamin owned property in Arenvale, but this particular villa wasn't one of them. The last time, it was arranged for convenience in locating someone. However, this time, Shannon keenly noticed some subtle changes in the villa.

Aside from the housekeeper who cleaned and cooked while wearing the Cooper family's uniform, some of the decor in the villa had shifted more toward his personal preferences.

As someone who frequented the Cooper residence, Shannon thought she had a rough idea of Benjamin's favorites. He didn't plan to hide from her, but seeing how she had immediately guessed right made him feel inexplicably happy.

"Yeah. This villa is special to me."

Before she could ask why, she suddenly thought of something and felt a warmth in her chest the next second. Benjamin continued, "This is where we officially got engaged."

Not engaged because of their red marks, but because she genuinely wanted to be with him. Although it was influenced by Lexie and the Unmelting Bone's contract, he vividly remembered what happened back then.

Shannon unexpectedly confessed to him. It was from that day onward that they officially confirmed their relationship. Such a place, of course, held a special meaning for him.

"When did you buy it?" Her voice sounded visibly lighter.

He replied, "The day we returned to Jamborough."

Also the next morning they confirmed their relationship.

Her eyelashes fluttered, and the warmth in her chest slowly crawled to the tip of her ears. She asked, "How much did you spend on it?"

Suddenly, a cough echoed from the stairwell on the second floor, its source a sharp, electronic sound.

Both of them paused for a moment, turning their heads to look, only to see Zane standing at the top of the stairs, holding his phone. With a completely calm and collected expression, he typed, "I've been coughing a bit lately."

After sending the message, he even replayed the sound of his cough.

Shannon was speechless, thinking, "Just because you're using an electronic voice doesn't mean your throat has a built-in speaker system."

To take it a step further, even the system wouldn't bother faking a cough sound.

Faced with her somewhat speechless expression, Zane remained composed and continued typing.
