Shannon didn't dwell on Blossom's name and went straight to the point.
"Regardless of whatever reason it is, using a living person's body to nurture a fetus soul violates the Demon Control Agency's regulations. Plus, the fetus soul absorbs his vitality while it's in him. You'll come back with me and remove it yourself."
Blossom's heart sank. He was unwilling to remove the fetus soul given it was damaged, and he couldn't properly sustain it on his own if he removed it now.
After a brief hesitation, he gritted his teeth and declared, "I'll come with you and remove it but… that's only if you promise to find my wife! Only then will I do it!"
Though he was a serpent demon, he was young, and his supernatural strength was barely close to a juvenile demon like Kai. He figured it was better to rely on the Demon Control Agency's assistance rather than deal with it himself.
Though Blossom had his plan sorted out, he knew nothing about Shannon. She'd come here for a peaceful resolution, but that didn't mean she tolerated threats.
"If you refuse to remove it, I can forcefully extract the fetus soul. I'm warning you, it might get damaged in the process."
Her tone was cold, and it startled Blossom. Shocked, he blurted out, "Forcefully removing the fetus soul will harm the body of the host! Isn't he your uncle?"
"He is, but not a close one," Shannon honestly replied.
To her, it didn't matter if Alex's body suffered as long as he survived. Worst case, he could treat it as recovering poorly from childbirth.
Seeing that she wasn't moved, Blossom panicked. But as a creature known for its flexibility, he quickly shifted tactics and adopted a pleading expression.
"I'm sorry, young lady. It was my mistake. I'll come with you to remove the fetus soul, but I'm begging you to please find my wife! The Demon Control Agency should investigate a demon's disappearance."
Blossom's sudden change of attitude left Kai amazed, but he soon nodded along and said, "He has a point. A missing demon case is indeed within the Demon Control Agency's jurisdiction."
As he spoke, he turned to look at Shannon, who was utterly speechless. From the way he said it, one would think he was part of the Demon Control Agency.
Offsprings were precious for demons. Unlike ordinary serpents that could lay several eggs at a time, Blossom and Poisy had only managed one.
He could sense traces of unfamiliar human energy and Poisy's residual supernatural energy in the cave. It was clear to him that the humans had taken her.
Poisy had been weakened after giving birth and had only been able to stay in her true serpent form. This made her vulnerable to capture as she'd fought to protect the egg.
Blossom raged with anger and grief. He focused on protecting the fetus soul of the damaged serpent's egg and brought the egg down the mountain and into Seastone.
He initially thought it'd be easy to track Poisy's supernatural energy, but her energy seemed completely concealed. He couldn't find her no matter how hard he tried.
But though he couldn't find Poisy, he did detect the energy of the person who'd taken her outside the club.
To locate Poisy, he took his human form and entered the club just to find the culprit who'd harmed Poisy and their child. He was certain that finding this person would lead him to Poisy.
