The manager was utterly stunned. So, it wasn't some malicious spirit, right?
Behind Shannon, Fennec earnestly agreed. "It should be here."
Kai knew Fennec's background and refused to be outdone. He confidently pointed in a direction. "Shannon, over there!"
The manager was utterly confused but dared not stop them when Shannon followed Kai's direction. He quickly tagged along and maintained a respectful distance.
It was daytime, so the club wasn't particularly busy. As the group approached the bar, they spotted a man at the far end dressed as an attendant.
The man's eyes were narrow and sharp, and his features exuded a charm. The staff had to be exceptionally good-looking to work at an elite club like this.
He could sense Kai's energy as they neared. The moment their eyes met across the bar, he turned and bolted.
Shannon was about to act when Kai shot forward like an arrow and dramatically yelled, "Investigation by the Demon Control Agency! Stop! Hands on your head and face down!"
The official Demon Control Agency members, Shannon and Fennec, were utterly stunned. If Kai was from the Demon Control Agency, who were they?
Fortunately, Kai delivered. Perhaps it was the natural suppression of wyrms over serpents, or perhaps it was the intimating mention of the Demon Control Agency, but the serpent demon was quickly subdued.
For demons mingling in human society, they might not recognize the Special Security Agency, but they had to know the Demon Control Agency.
Still in shock, the manager stared incredulously at the subdued attendant. So, was this guy the demon?
It was no wonder that the demon looked like a movie star! And he believed he'd struck gold when hiring the former!
Shannon didn't intend to start a fight. Since the demon wasn't running anyway, she took him to the private room the manager had prepared.
Once the door was closed, she motioned for Kai to release him and asked, "Are you the one who inserted the serpent's fetus soul into Uncle Alex's belly?"
Firstly, Alex did have a unique physique. Secondly, he'd sternly rejected the advances of an actress while drunk, so the serpent demon believed Alex was a principled human being. That made him a worthy candidate to nurture the fetus soul.
Shannon wasn't too surprised by the mention of Alex's unusual physique. Given the residual influence of the sylphdeer's fur, it was no surprise his body would exhibit characteristics prone to fostering life.
With clear reasoning and the serpent demon showing no hostility, Shannon decided not to make things difficult for him. She asked, "What's your name?"
"Blossom Eve," the serpent demon replied.
The trio blinked in unison. Kai couldn't believe his ears. "Say that again? What's your name?"
"Blossom Eve… That's my name," the serpent demon earnestly repeated.
The room fell silent. Blossom… What a unique name for a male serpent demon.
