Ignoring Lexie, Draco fixed his gaze on Shannon.

Hector couldn't remember what promise Shannon could've possibly made with anyone, but he soon pieced things together. "Is this the same Mr. Wright who had Yvette deliver a gift to you?"

As Shannon nodded, Hector firmly offered, "I'll come with you."

Though Shannon had inquired Yvette about who the man was, there was no way he could leave her alone with a random stranger.

Before Shannon could respond, Draco interjected, "Mr. Wright has just agreed to meet her, and no one else."

"I'm her brother," Hector calmly stated.

Draco remained impassive. "It'd be the same even for her father."

The atmosphere grew tense, and Shannon stepped in to reassure Hector. "I'll be back very soon."

Shannon hadn't mentioned anything about Thalia or that Zane had told her about Celeste's supposedly fake name. Complications of the mystic arts community were too complex for Hector to get involved in.

Since the man had sent Draco from Team Demon over, it could mean he was from the Demon Control Agency.

And if he was potentially connected to the enigmatic Demon Control Agency, Shannon was even more determined to keep Hector out of it.

Seeing Shannon insist, Hector paused briefly before saying, "I won't insist on meeting him, but I'm coming with you."

He was willing to wait outside if necessary. That was his compromise.
